Actually a 2 questions and a possible observation:

I spend some time on this site each day in an effort to maximize my efficency at work. Of late I have been paying attention to the post counts from some of the contribtors. Many are well into the thousands, but this alone is not what caught my attention. Some have been here for years and/or are mods which I would assume warrants such a high number of entries. However, and seemingly increasing all the time, there is quite a contingent of folks who are relatively new (several months to a year or two) with similar number of posts.

I'm really not trying to pass judgement, but how is that even possible? Do those people spend all day and night online?

Secondly, the tension on this board seems to have increased substantially lately; enough to where it has bled into the show (work or not). Are these "new people" that are frequently brought up both here and on the air the catalyst? Is there a backlash from the OGs, subtle or otherwise?

Just curious.

I think the main reason people's post count goes up, DI, is that what you were able to say in one post, many others would have posted the first question. then come back and posted the second question...then replied to everyone one at a time.

I applaud you for your conciseness.

We also have a thread where you can say hi to the person that just posted, so...

I see.

Not that it is something that really bothers me, was just wondering I guess. Like I've seen some people with like 7-10,000 posts in less than a year and just can't imagine how I could even get anywhere remotely close to that beyond posting all day everyday.

I guess this begs another question...

Are there any people on here who could be considered the Daniel Day Lewis of RF.net? (i.e. Low post volume but always of the highest quality)

Conversely, who would branded as Samuel L?

Interestingly enough, we're already trying to answer both questions.

The Danel Day Lewis would be HERE (http://ronfez.net/forums/showthread.php?t=82778&highlight=post+count).

and there is one for the Samuel L, but I cant find it right now. Happy searching!

My posting has increased the last 2 weeks cause my son was gone and I was sick of doing housework so I spent more time here. Plus...I was really horny and needed the flirting, but now I am good and behaved and won't flirt anymore. I promise.
