My MyFi is working fine on live radio but I have to record the Ron & Fez show but this weekend it started not playing audio on recorded shows. It records them - shows they are playing but nothing comes out the headphones or thru the FM modulator. I've tried taking the battery out & resetting but this doesn;'t help. Any ideas??

Thanks

Goto http://www.XM411.com and go to the forums. There is a thread on how to reset the memory for the MyFi. You would have to search for it. Also if you took the battery out, sometimes that sets your volume all the way down.

Check your menu setting as well.

If that does not work, you might be screwed. I had a MyFi that would record, but when I went to play it, it had nothing stored. So you might have to get another one.

http://www.myradiostore.com

They have some decent prices on MyFi.

Good Luck, and let me know if it works out.

Yeah, I've been fooled more than once by the very low volume control after a reset but even that doesn't explain why nothing comes over the FM modulator, although resetting may have changed the fm channel it broadcasts on, you might want to check that.

I've had my myfi for about 5 years and have been happy for the most part. But there have been all kinds of little annoyances like these, but my problems have always been solved with a soft reset (remove battery for 1 minute) or hard rest (remove battery and use a pin to press the little button). The hard reset erases anything you have recorded.

When I had to replace it due to a cracked screen I got a good price on a used MyFi at myradiostore.com mostly because I didn't need the home kit or car kit.

Good luck and keep us posted on what you find.

myradiostore does not sell used ones anymore. It is very hard to just find the unit and no home or car kits. I think XM is starting to phase out the MyFi which sucks...because I love it.

Those MyFi's are pieces of junk with a very short lifespan.

The only problem is that it's the only XM receiver that has all the features I need.

Damn you, Sirius XM!

It's now working - I did the hard reset by using a paper clip to pus hthe button. It actually didn't delete yesterday's show but I now have audio so thanks for all your help.
