With this baseball season more than half over, whats your MLB All Decade Team? 2000-2009

I guess you'll need every position filled, 5 pitchers, a closer, a manager, maybe one setup man , and a lefty reliever.

All the players have to be known for that position. No taking a starter and making him the lefty reliever.

IMO, the best closer from 2002-2004 was John Smoltz, but since he was a starter for the majority of the decade, I had to give it to Mo.

C: Mauer
1B: Pujols
2B: Utley
3B:A-Rod (fuck him, but it's true)
SS: Hanley Ramirez (2000-2004 - A-Rod ... fuck him again)
LF: bonds ... fuck ... put this one down to n/a
RF: Ichiro
CF: Beltran

CL: Rivera
Setup men are irrelevant, in my opinion. If they were good enough to be on an all-decade team, they would be closers.

Manager: Lou Piniella. Not substantiated by stats, but I just love the guy.

CL- Darin Erstad

You can never have enough grit on a baseball team. Its not about scoring runs, or getting outs, or even hitting competently. Its about grit. And dirty uniforms. And more grit.

Forgot to post starters:

Randy Johnson
Roy Halladay
Jake Peavy
Johan Santana
Pedro Martinez (2000-2005 was good enough to overlook the rest)
