PIC programming..

Anyone know anything about these?

I have a JDM programmer, that someone wants me to "figure out" for them.

I have something very close to this:

And some 8 pin chips.

And a hex code.

I have no idea where to place the chip in the ZIF to write the code to them.

I might be in over my head here, I'm also having trouble with algebra at the same time.

I can't see the detail in that picture, does one of the corners of the ZIF have a number 1 marked in the corner? If so, that would line up with the dot in the corner of the PIC chip (The dot on an IC indicates where pin #1 is)

other than that, I have no idea, I never messed around with PICs, mostly just analog electronics.
