First there was the guy at work.

Last night I heard from a guy I went on ONE date with in 2006. We catch each other on Facebook sometimes. Last night he tells me he has a GF and wants to come over. Bear in mind, I gave him NOTHING on that one date. He says he "gets restless."

I imagine that women get sexually propositioned, either directly or indirectly, constantly. It is a little strange that these men all want to include their women in that sexual proposition. I'm not sure whether or not that's a compliment. Either way, there's something about Alice that puts you on other men's and couple's radar.

I wonder if they bring up the other girl as an implication that, by entering this partnership, the mistress understands that she is not allowed the same rights as a girlfriend. Then if the mistress ever says something like 'You don't pay enough attention to me' the guy can come back with 'You knew I had a girlfriend going in.' Obviously if the person is cheating they're not all that willing to do the leg work on a relationship, and they're looking for the path of least resistance.

It's actually doubly messed up- the person is cheating in the first place but they're also trying to deny the other half of the arrangement physical and emotional consideration that they have a right to, in a really passive aggressive way.

short answer, alice, guys suck. i know because i am one. however, i don't suck, i'm pretty awesome, and there are a lot of guys that don't suck as well. you just have to weed the bad ones out. the fact you don't jump at the mention of a proposition is a good way to do that. keep up the good work and you'll be just fine.
