Looks cool. I don't really watch children's movies, but I do enjoy Wes Anderson very much

This is going to put RB into a quandry because he loves Wes Anderson but rarely sees animated features.

I normally don't like animated/cg films, but I love Wes Anderson. I've enjoyed some animated things though, like Miyazaki's films and some Pixar stuff. I'll try to go to this with an open mind.

I know there's going to be a lot of flak for Anderson making a 'kiddy' movie - but the dialog sounds like a Wes Anderson film. I suspect he went this way because, clearly he enjoys designing sets, this freed him to do anything he wanted - no limitations.

It probably would've cost a fortune to do it live action. Might've been a trip to see though if he went the Where the Wild Things route by dressing up actors in fox costumes where the faces would later be manipulated by cgi in post-production.

While I'm sure I'll love this as a Wes Anderson and Roald Dahl fan, I must admit that I was disappointed when I saw the trailer. It does look like it will be enjoyable, but it's framed exactly as if he were to have filmed it for any of his prior projects, and I had an expectation that with the new medium of stop-motion, he might have found a way to explore his style a bit more.

Oh yes, this has to be on the "Must See" list. If for anything else but to have an excuse to see a Wes Anderson movie with my kids.
