I guess it goes to show that we constantly want to overlay our human emotions on nature and also inanimate objects. I am sure wounded dolphins get eaten by sharks all the time in the wild. In this case humans interjected some hope and emotion where turns out it didn't belong. Maybe we're not so smart after all.

I guess I don't understand why it would be so bad to remain in captivity and be handfed fish if I were a dolphin.

This is fucking hysterical. The only way it could have been any better is if a Great White "Air Jaws"-ed him right in front of everyone.
What a pussy dolphin. You always hear about them kicking sharks' asses but this one goes down like a chump. He deserved it.
