That's crazy.

The thing is if she was legally over the limit they might still be able to charge her regardless of their shennanigans.

I guess that cop can kiss his career goodbye.

And what is Chris gonna comment ?

It's not like he's ever said that all cops are beyond reproach.

I don't trust police in the United States, they just make me queasy and nervous. I don't feel like they want to protect me I just feel like they want to hurt me or take me in or give me a ticket or something even worse to fill some quota or just because they had a bad day.

I live in Canada now and feel none of that. I feel like the officers here want to protect me and are here to help me and they make me feel safe and at ease.

I would never in my life approach a police officer for help if I needed it on the streets in the US, but here in my first week in Montreal I asked for directions, I asked for advice for our home and other things.

Last month when the police came to check out my house after our alarm went off 2 times in a row I knew I wasn't going to be put in jail for having pot in my house.

I feel horrible for feeling this way but I can't say that it's all in my head when so many cops are becoming criminals these days.

Yeah it's too bad we don't have a Dudley Dorite here in the US.

Feel free to stay where you are then.

Oh and don't come sneaking back across the border to try and get some real healthcare.

We'll have the police waiting for you.

Justin Volpe and his plunger will be the 1st on the scene.

Your ignorance about Canada is remarkable.

I live 3 blocks away from a walk in clinic, I pay nothing and I am almost always seen with in 30 minutes. I needed to go to the hospital and I was seen with in an hour and again I didn't pay for it. I have never felt short changed on my health care either. I am not even a citizen yet and I get Medicare, and it works I don't care that my taxes are slightly higher here because of it.

Also The cops here are young, caring and don't itimitate you. it's a fact. It doesn't mean they are Dudley Do Right it just means they can do their job and not have to bully people into behaving themselves.

Sorry to have put a twist in your tit over this but I can't help how I feel I am sure to get beaten up for my comment but that is just how forums work.

I watch Fox News so I'm well informed. Because of this, I know you're lying. People in your country hate your health care and have to wait DAYS to be seen. You all wish you could have the health care we have here in the good ol' US of A! These colors don't run! (unless you have a sticker on the back of your car saying that, then they fade)

Exactly. People all over the world come here for health care even though they don't have insurance because the care is so great and they can easily afford costs that 99% of us can't in the wealthiest country in the world.

Well obviously your cable must suck in Canada or you only get this story and movies with crooked cops.

I'm sure if you took the time you could find plenty of stories where cops go above and beyond their duty. Well that's if you actually wanted to do so.

I've never had a problem asking a cop for anything.

Maybe it's childish insecurities that prevent you from approaching a police officer in the US.

I have no ignorance of Canada I have a disinterest.

I'd gladly have every US citizen stay here if Canadians agreed to do the same.

I'm not clear on whether or not you're writing with sarcasm but the FACT is many Americans are very confused about health care in other countries. For your own enlightenment here is a link to a scholastic inquiry as what health care is like around the world. The video is an episode of Frontline, which airs on PBS titled "Sick Around the World"

http://www.pbs.org/wgbh/pages/frontline/sickaroundtheworld/

EDIT: Here's a link to the sequel - "Sick Around America". It's about Health Care is in the U.S..

I was pretty sure you weren't a total maniac, but Health Care is an issue I think we all need more info on, so I used your post as an opportunity to share those Frontline specials.

The Fox News bit at the top of your post really was a giveaway.

I lived 5 minutes from that interesection. Hollywood cops are really bad at shit like this. I used to be friends with a few of them and they could be rough.

Still, at least she wasnt black. AMIRITE?

ChrisTheCop

I dont know what saddens me more; the actions of these cops, or the fact that everyone here can now say, "see? I told ya ALL cops are evil!"

If all cops are evil because these 2 or 3 are, how come all cops aren't great because a team of cops caught a burglar last night?

I'm further saddened that a visitor to this country believes all this negativity he reads here. I mean, I go to south america on occasion, and I FEAR those cops...but I certainly would ask them for help if I needed it. But then, I'm not a criminal.

If some future civilization, or aliens, were to get a hold of RonFez.net transcripts,

(Although I was pleasantly surprised by the Sgt Crowley thread. Seems the majority saw the light in that case. But there were of course a few who still resist.)

However, no one here (outside trolls) has ever said that.
