One job I have it the other I don't.
The primary job pays way more than the other job.
I can get by on the salary I am paid in job #1.
Job #2 is just extra money because I want and need it right now.
The problem is that the second job I get a regular check and wait forever to deposit it.
As of today, I am up to 4 weeks of un-deposited paychecks.
Anyone else let checks sit for a while?

I get checks from my sister for watching her kids....I usually cash them and spend the money before anyone knows I have the check or cash....

hope your job 2 is with a stable company with good cash flow.
Why not have job 2 dd into a savings?
my UI is direct deposit as well, everything gets paid in a biweekly routine as the "pay" comes in, has been that way before I lost my job and I kept the scheduled payments the same.

To be honest, I am lazy. I could get DD if I wanted.
The problem is the paperwork.
My job at university only requires me to hand them a voided check.
The other job at PriceRite wants me to fill out paperwork and have a deposit/withdraw like setting up a paypal account.
Fuck that!

The rare occasion I get a check, I stuff it in my bank's pre-paid envelope and dump it in the mail. Some times I procrastinate. I had nearly 20K from some tree cutting up at my property that took me for ever to give to my mom to put in our property account. Most of that is reinvested into the property.

that does sound like a pain in the ass!
checks have become obsolete in my world. I use bill pay and online pay where available and have dropped paper bills as well.

So the reason I'm supposed to feel sorry for you is
A) You have an over abundance of checks sitting around and
B) You'd have to go through a couple short steps to get this other business to DD thereby ending your problem?
Yea, ya lost me there. If those checks are in your way sign the back of them and mail them to me. I'll give them a good home.

Same for me. the only time I ever write a check is for rent or any kind of benefit/golf charity thing
