I'd love to hear Gvac on the show more. Ron and he sounded like two old friends when they were talking about music. It was a pleasure to listen to and I wish the whole 4 hours had been them discussing best albums, guitarists, songs. My only complaint is Ron and Gvac don't seem to know much about bands on smaller labels like Twin Tone, Nonesuch, Matador, SST, Beggar's Banquet, etc. Maybe they could bring in Paulisded to cover that territory.

It also came at just the right time. Thursday's show gave me a headache. I know many people find the Fez-angry-at-Dave bit hilarious. I'm glad there is an audience for it. I am also happy that there are many, many fans of this latest angry, "standing up for himself", self-obsessed Fez character. I just don't get it. I'm sure it is very funny on some level.

For humor, I'd rather go with Dave fucking with Tommy Z or being a maniac at the Letterman protest than these odd bits of Fez screaming at Dave, Casey, CHUCKWAGONCOOK. I find ESD hilarious and surprisingly smart on certain topics like movies and sports.

Fez could then go into producer role and interject jokes once in awhile. His one-liners are very funny. He could also be in charge of the live reads.

It's just that listening yesterday made me think that my ideal radio show would be Ron, Dave, Gvac, and maybe Paulisded with Fez interjecting one liners or maybe discussing American Idol, gay issues, or how he hates some female celebrity once in awhile for variety.

The best thing about Gvac being there was lack of gameshows on the show. The entire show passed by without the need for ten different gameshows to pass the minutes. There was the one WWE one but that brilliant in its awfulness.

According to the Gvac Postulate, agreed upon by Ron, there are a few critical items a song needs to make it a "great" rock song. Yet, somehow they disregarded a highly popular and influential genre.
