A Carter & Jeff approved notice for you....nice spam!
I'm going to be at the Escape School on this Saturday. This FREE happening for children aged 5 - 15 and their parents will teach kids good self-defense and escape methods to protect them from stranger abduction. It will be taught by Bill Belott, who has done this on Oprah, Good Morning America, The View, Extra, and America's Most Wanted.
It's FREE and FUN!
I'm taking my kids and would love to see you there!
Where: Sundokwan Tae Kwon Do School
390 Fairfield Road
(Across from Funtime Junction, by Marty's Shoes)
Fairfield, NJ
When: 3:00PM, Saturday, Jan 19
If you have any questions, call Heidi Metzger at 973-575-KICK
Don't forget to say hello to me!
If you come early (around 1 pm) you can get free "Kid Care" ID & fingerprinting, learn about fire safety in the "Smoke trailer" and get a free tae kwon do lesson, too!)

Ok, here's a shameless plug. 1pm is a perfect time for lunch. So if any of you are feeling hungry drive 30 seconds down the road to the Chicken & Rib Crib (which is owned by my mother). It is located on 16 Little Falls Rd., which connects to Fairfield Rd.
It's great food and you can even have it delivered if you are too lazy to drive. Sorry Ginny, but this was just such a perfect time to help my mother and her business out. Any questions feel free to email me.

I just want to thank everyone who braved the snow and came to Escape School today--we had a blast. The kids had a great time too!
...and, one of the other TKD students (who doesn't know where I work) added to the festivities by donating (literally) truckloads of food, drinks, a guest speaker from the fire department, and vigilantly made call after call after call and FINALLY got a suprise for us....
...*another* radio station to bring their van out & do a stop. And they had their intern play "Simon Says" with the toddlers.
oi vey.
...but, their visit was mercifully short.
So if anyone was confused when they drove up and saw banners from another station....IT WAS NOT MY IDEA.
arrrrrrrgh!

WOW. That was close to home for me too. I guess a bunch of you live in my general area. I would have come, but if you show up to an event like that without a child you probably look like a kid toucher. And that's not my bag. Hope all you people with kids had fun.

Well, you can always stop by for a class. Maybe it will be a day when I lead the stretches, and you can watch my chubby-assed self do jumping jacks!
