It's kind of weird/sad that people have planned out days where they will be internet free. How we all ever survived prior to 1996 is beyond me at this point.

Last years was a really really great time. Picnics, and frisbees and just hanging out in a beautiful place with great people and a chance to bring family. Its also really nice change from the usual bar night. Kind of like a softball game for people who dont play softball.

I was confused with the posts, but looks like we're good now.
September 5th is Labor Day weekend, so I don't know if a lot of people will be away or not.
Any of the other September dates look good to me right now, but I've got to double and triple check. I have a habit of forgetting shit like weddings and vacations.

I might be able to attend if I'm not working on the day that is picked. I know there is at least one Jewish holiday that month and my boss has a wedding to attend I think, so there is a good chance that I could be free. Otherwise I wouldn't be able to get to the city till around 3-4 and all the fun will be already have been had.

I'll be in Chicago this week, returning on Friday, and I've decided to "sweeten the pot" to build a little more interest in this.
I bought a carry-on-size cooler, which I intend to fill with Ron Bennington cupcakes from Molly's.
I had to check with Katja and Misti, but they said it would be ok to share them with our .net friends at the park Saturday.
I hope you all can make it.

Who will bring some games?
Looks like a few kids will be there, assuming sailor is bringing his little one and hoping mikeyboy will join us with babylove and the one that is not babylove! Heather's little boy!
I am bringing Lukas! He loved it last year and with any luck I can get him there without rainboots :)

I can't make it if it's the 12th. But, as the main causer of the dog issue last year, I wanted to add my two cents. We walked north after I got too nervous about crashing the dog-free part around 4, and everywhere else in the park was fine for dogs. It was just smaller areas of grass, and people were playing organized sports and picnicking with their dogs to their hearts content. I understand it make it harder for folks unfamiliar with the park to find, but it seems that picking an area close would be a nice compromise.
But again, I can't make it, so don't plan anything on my account.

 yay and Misti too.
This is going to be fun!
I am bringing my friend who has a 3 year old boy, he is an amazing kid, is in remission from leukemia for over a year now and grows like crazy (wears a size 6 already), the happiest little boy I ever saw while going through chemo and treatments.

I will be driving in around 9 aiming for a spot at the park no later than 11.
Last year it started filling up after noon.
Since nobody said we needed a dog friendly park we should just stick with Sheeps meadow.
Easy to find and if we are lucky we get the same spot under the big tree like last year.

not sure about that based on the cooler size, but maybe they can make them special in mini size??? that would be awesome but is probably impossible.

sorry not possible to do rb minis. unfortunately they travel terribly, and get all melty but a cooler should help, and they still taste good even if they turn into a mess.

yeah I figured and called them this morning anyway to check if Rob should pre-order.
They were very friendly and said they will help fit as much in the cooler as possible :)
Probably we'll add an assortment of minis anyway, the kids might like them.
