Now we all know the simple ones Band Aid for Adhesive Bandages, Q-Tip for Cotton Swab
but there quite a few item likes ordering a coke or diet coke in a restaurant, no 1 ever says I want a Diet Soda, the Waitress will tell you (in shame) if they have Pepsi instead
what other brand names define a certain product?

Gay.
It is both an adjective and a verb.
Adjective:
He is gay. He likes men.
Verb:
Do not gay up this thread like the rest of the threads on RonFez.Net.

I think there are some products that are default names of a product, like Trojan for condoms. But everyone knows that they're called condoms, where not everyone knows that Band-Aids are actually just one brand of the entire product.
Nobody orders a whiskey and lemon-lime soda, you order a 7&7.

i always order coke, even though i prefer pepsi. they only have one or the other and it's more likely coke. just easier to order that way.
