Will she pull through or will she join the calvalcade of celebrity death?

Report: Charlize Theron Hospitalized With Serious Virus (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,531461,00.html?test=faces)

Doctors ran a series of tests and diagnosed Theron with a serious virus thought to have been contracted during her travels overseas, according to the National Enquirer.

That sounds ominously not good.

I like that in the middle of a serious news story about someone suffering from a "serious virus" FOX finds the need to add this little gem:

PHOTOS: Click for hot pics of Charlize Theron. (http://www.foxnews.com/photoessay/0,4644,4289,00.html)

Truly, conservative family values at their best.

why would you think a serious virus is automatically a deadly one?

Only time will tell. For now, let's all just keep her in our thoughts and prayers.

The Judge is just a negative dot netter.

Although, what makes something "serious"? I'd assume life must be threatened in some regard...or "serious" is being used improperly.

Apparently this "serious illness" is nothing more than a case of Jungle Fever

Last I checked - that was in Africa.

I think shes just African.

She became a US Citizen.

In case you haven't noticed, I know a lot about Charlize Theron. And while this thread was started more to goof on FOX and their "hot picture" link it was also an excuse for me to look up and post images of her in various stages of undress.

I will say this though: I don't know what the virus is or where she was traveling. I do know that she does a lot of charity work in Africa. If that is somehow the case here, I'd say that any virus contracted in Africa is potentially A LOT more serious that some possible food poisoning contracted in some five-star restaurant in Paris for example.

I said she's African-American. You said no, she's from South-Africa. But South Africa is in Africa so she is of African descent the same way as say Will Smith is. So she is properly referred to as African-American. Obama's family is from Kenya, I believe. We don't refer to him as Kenyan-American so Theron would not be South African-American. That's alls I'm saying.

But she was born there. We refer to people that were born here (and therefor are American) and have African decent as African American. Usually you can go as far as that both parents are of that decent and the child/ person is on US soil.

But she is also an African-American by strictest definition.

We don't say "Nigerian-American" or "Kenyan American."

We refer to the entire continent, like saying "European-American."

I can't remember the last time Katja was proven wrong.
I mean she's had some theories that were iffy, but being so wrong here....

My confidence in all things I once considered stable has been shaken.

Also, I've batched more to Maura Tierney than to Charlize.

Give it up my friend. As history has taught us, Germans want to call everything they see "Germany" so they don't see a reason to distinguish any further.

Just ask Austria, Czechoslovakia, Poland, France...
