I would assume they have to take care of the origin story first but that would be fucking sweet. XD

Also, I realize that Ryan Reynolds will fill some seats in the theaters, but wouldn't it be better for the movie in the long run to get another relatively unknown guy to play the role? I also realize that Reynolds is the "sarcastic cool guy" kinda like Hal Jordan, but we're all going to be thinking of him showing his balls or jerking off his dog.

The film is a pile of shit, but I thought he was pretty good/creepy in the Ametyville Horror remake.
I don't think people, especially fanboys, are ever sure or happy about choices like this until they pan out. We'll see.

I thought he was awesome in blade 3, but then again I havn't seen it since I was 15 and I was on the Ryan Reynolds high back then. Wolverine was such shit that I didn't even make it to the first scene with Deadpool.

I am still thinking about this one. I like Ryan Reynolds and he can physically pull off the role (he "looks" like a superhero), but he needs to play the character with the right demeanor.

Hal Jordan isn't a wiseacre, but he does have bravado and a sense of humor. He is a hotshot pilot after all, and since I assume the movie will be pre-Parallax Jordan, then he was a little more "light hearted" than his character is now.

I have seen Reynolds do some good dramatic work, so if he can bring that sensibility to Green Lantern and not go into the silly deep-end I think it will be fine.
