When you start a thread -
Do you go back to it regularly to comment on the posts made by other members?
Do you let it just grow freely without any of your input besides the first post?
Do you have the most posts in the threads you start?
Go.

I think its seems like you're just bumping your own thread if you keep posting, but if someone asks a question etc. Then you're safe

i'm happy enough if a thread i start makes it to 2 pages.

Who doesn't like to see someone respond to your thread, but I let it go after a while. C'mon, we're not all a bunch of Gvac's :king:

I try not to start threads anymore, as most that I do are bombs.

I don't like to think of my threads as babies.
However, once I drop them, I rarely subscribe.

I don't start many but I will post a couple of times if any interesting points are made. Just depends.

That is true. He owned the greatest thread in this board's history... and no matter how painful it got he came back.

it still hurts to think about it...
If I start a thread that I thought was pretty interesting but got few (or no) responses I'll try to resurrect it. If it stays dead I leave it.
More often than not I've found that threads that don't get a lot of views and/or responses are the ones that have poor titles.
They've gotta be catchy. Like a NY Post headline.

As soon as I started my first epic thread I stopped checking on threads I started as often, that was my Dark Side of the Moon.

I pulled a muscle with my first shitty video thread and I will not post in it unless of course it is brought back up.

I've only started one thread in my stellar .net career. It was a listening thread for Stugots' show. I haven't visited it since, so I guess I am a thread abandoner. I should be ashamed.
But I'm not.

if i start a thread, it's generally because i care about the topic, so i'm likely to return and add further comments/responses. sometimes, just due to the nature of how the system works, threads can turn into a bit of a Q&A with the original poster, and that i try to avoid (but sometimes it's inevitable).

I start a lot of Listening Threads, so of course I do. But after a day, I just let them go.

I don't start many but if I do I don't always go back.I travel and work alot. When I'm off line for three or four days I don't have the energy or time to read 12,798 posts, let alone go searching back for stuff.
