Starts tonight at 9pm on (the all new!) SyFy. (http://www.syfy.com/warehouse13/)
I've read some good reviews - it's an X-Files-ish show if it took place in the warehouse we saw at the end of Raiders Of The Lost Ark.
Starring Eddie McClintock and Joanne Kelly, who I'm not familiar with, but it also stars someone who should be in that character actor thread - Saul Rubinek, who always plays great "love him or hate him" characters.

whats the premise of the show ??
Two Secret Service agents, after saving the President from a assassin with a supernatural motive, are reassigned to a South (maybe North?) Dakota giant Warehouse with a quirky caretaker. It's full of dangerous supernatural objects. They have to go out and collect any that are threatening the human race.
It's a simple concept, but the premiere was good last night. Some great characters and set-up for a series. The maguffin they went after last night was weak, but you can tell there is a lot of potential and backstory to get to. And CCH Pounder was in it! Nice surprise. It looks to be a fun summer series.
And Joanne Kelly will become the hot babe of the hour soon. She's purty.

I want to like this show. I thought the first episode was okay. I just hate it when a pilot episode tries to stir up emotions for characters that I am just being introduced to. I think the storyline about Myka's partner dying would have gripped me more in a future episode. Same with Peter's dead father. They shouldn't play the dead parent/partner/lover card in the first episode.
It also seems like they are really trying to bring in the viewers that are into steampunk.

I DVR'd the show after seeing a preview for it. It could have potential. Although, most pilots aren't fantastic. It usually takes a season or two to get to the really good episodes and to have the character development really come through.
It was a 2-hour pilot as well, I hope they don't try to pack too much into it.

i just watched the pilot start to finish during lunch.
im in. i really like it. if this show does well, i can see Myka on the cover of maxim.
i do have to admit... it started really slow.
im not sure, however, what was the story with houdini's wallet?

I didn't get he Houdini's wallet thing either. I thought I might have missed something when I was getting a snack. Maybe a future episode will revisit that artifact again.

I really liked the show, there is a lot they could do with it and the characters are interesting enough.
I think the story with Houdini's wallet is that when it fell in her purse, it landed on the picture she looked lovingly at of her dead boyfriend and it's power is to create a full-size illusion of something. It made sense for her to see him when she was in the room with the wallet, but hearing him on the phone was a bit odd.

not to read too much into it, but maybe she's an escape artist in her mind- she can mentally remove herself from situations in the past, or something.
i dunno.

Good news for SyFy, Warehouse 13 was the most-watched ad-supported cable network in the 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. prime-time period on Tuesday night.
3rd highest rated show for the network ever.

This show is Friday the 13th the series meets x-files.
And the houdinis wallet obviously made the guy in the photo appear, he's probably dead...and then she heard him on the phone.
It's weird the somewhat obvious things people miss on tv shows, you guys stay away from any lynch films.

Claudia's definitely put a nemesis spark in the show.
I got a strong vibe that she was from the 60's, not sure if they ever specified how long ago her bro's experiment was. She'd say things like "groovy" and there was a school book in her library marked "'61". Now, I'd understand the brother not aging in 40 years, but, although she aged since the incident... I'm not sure where I'm going with this.
Also, the female Inn keeper. Very cute, and I have a feeling SHE'S also much older, and perhaps wiser, than she appears.

Nice!
Syfy has ordered a second season of Warehouse 13, its freshman series that follows two Secret Service agents who find themselves abruptly transferred to a massive, top-secret storage facility that houses every strange artifact, mysterious relic, fantastical object and supernatural souvenir ever collected by the U.S. government.
Warehouse 13 has become the most-watched show in Syfy's 17-year history, averaging 3.7 million viewers a week. It is also the number-one new series on Tuesdays this summer for adults 25-54, and it broke records when the fourth episode on July 28 delivered the most females (1.9 million) of any series telecast in Syfy's history.
Warehouse 13 airs Tuesdays at 9 p.m. ET/PT on Syfy.

i've long forgotten about this show.
i just caught a back episode of Castle, and she was in it.
she gleamed of sexiness until they did close ups, and those collagen lips of hers were so not hot. especially on the left (your right) side of her face. her lips dont move. even when she talks. looking at her is like looking at a catfish with tits.

Speaking of no longer hot. Emily Procter was super cute as the right-wing lawyer on West Wing. Now, she's fugly on CSI:Miami. I don't watch the CSIs, but when I've seen shots of her now, it's not even close to what she was on West Wing.

Just got renewed for a 4th season.
I'm glad their sticking with it. It's become one of my favorites. Good storylines and never takes itself too seriously. Pete Lattimer has become one of the funniest characters on TV. And the rest of the team has really formed a strong family-like bond. Sometimes the "artifacts" are a bit hokey, but the characters make up for it.
Plus last year's villian, H.G. Wells, will be getting her own spin-off show, and the last episode has some flashbacks to that - sort of a steampunkish Victorian London mystery - which could be a lot of fun too.
