I keep waiting for a new page in the iPod shuffle thread blessedly sans Van-fucking-Morrison, but I keep being denied.

Time to fess up if you don't own a single Van Morrison song (solo or otherwise) in any way, shape or form. Please step forward so I may shake your hand and give you a medal.

For Ron Fez listeners, Ron has talked about his love of Van music a bunch of times, especially the song "Cleaning Windows."

That's not to say that you're not a Ron Fez fan if you don't like Van Morrison. Just that you may have heard of him whilst listening to the show.

Seriously though, I've owned His Band and the Street Choir for close to 20 years now & still love it. It doesn't matter that he no longer has it, very few musicians can sustain quality work over decades (hats off to Springsteen, Dylan, and Tom Petty for just getting better). Should they bow out gracefully before they are derided for sheer old guy-ness? Maybe. Or maybe milk that moondance for as long as it pays the bills.
