with the mindset you have NOW?
I got my chance this weekend!
I went back to Oyster Bay, LI for a mini-reunion that was put together by classmates on Facebook. I HAD A BLAST!
I was actually staying with a woman I knew and might have hung out with a couple of times. Didn't know her very well.
The other woman who stayed with her drove all the way from Albany. I remember her being a very pretty and VERY opinionated chick... who smoked a lot of pot. She kind of scared me a little.
She was trying to remember me before she drove down. "Didn't she walk through the halls with her books clutched to her chest? Kind of nerd?"
Her name is Kathy and she's going through the EXACT same thing I went through when my dad died. I went to HS with her but I spent 36 hours with her this weekend and now we're SISTERS!
It's SO FUNNY how things changed. She's going to move back to OB. She has no family as I don't. We're each other's family now.
But I was VERY OPINIONATED at the little reunion. I made a couple of guys uncomfortable. But it was ALL in fun!!

It seems so foreign to me that you could graduate from high school with someone and "not know them very well." Growing up in a cow town, I pretty much know everyone within 3 grade levels of me, and their siblings.
Anyway, I'm going back to high school this fall when I start student teaching. Talk about a different mindset.

I have never kept in contact with anyone from my high school days and
can't think of one good reason to ever go back or to a reunion of any type.

In the last 2 years we have been putting mini reunions together on Facebook every November (since our school has yet to do one for us) They have been a blast and Ive caught up and actually keep in contact now with alot of people I hadnt seen in about 15 years.

It is interesting to see that people from my shitty HS have made it in real life. Coming from a HS where there were shootings, stabbings, drugs, etc. many of them made something of themselves. Granted I only know of 50 or so out of a class of 400 it's nice to see it was not all a blur after all. I have some fond memories of HS but would never go back and even skipped my 10 year reunion. I want to skip my 20 year but we'll see.

I was hardly there when I was enrolled.
I never really wanted to go back. I still talk to everyone I want to from there, so there's not really a reason.

Not a day goes by where I don't wish I could go back in time and do it all over. Although if given that opportunity I'd go back a lot farther than high school. Now? No way in fuck do I want to see any of those people again.

How great, Fuzzy! I went to a tiny all girls school in Princeton with a class of 36. I've kept in close contact with 5 of them since we graduated and hooked up with the rest on Facebook. I love it. We try to see each other once a year since we're all over the country but usually end up seeing each other every two years or so. I'm glad you found a connection with an old aquaintance.
Oddly enough it's the college folks I don't really keep in touch with. Besides my husband there's just one other girl I am in contact with.

You'll quickly discover that unless you just wanted to become a Chris Hanson level Pariah of the local university, that college really has nothing to yield to a man of your years anymore. Unless you were just driving through, which is permitted of you people. :-P

Ask any guy ten years after HS graduation, and he'll be able to name the 7 or so girls he definitely coulda fucked and the at least 6 girls he definitely shoulda fucked in high school.

I had an awesome time in high school. Lots of parties, lots of guys...I actually had a life back then...hmm....
No really, I enjoyed high school. I got along with everyone, never had problems with anyone. I had more friends then than now. I still live in the same town so I see my classmates all of the time. Ryan plays softball with half the guys I graduated with.
