I rarely write on the board, but I just wanted to share this thought: the "Nature Boy" bit is the BEST radio bit I've ever heard. The same week that Scott Ferrall got fired from his old Westwood One show on WFAN, I checked WNEW for something to listen to on my midnight ride home from work. That night, I heard the Ron&Fez.com show and a bit on Elian Gonzalez. As many times as I (and friends) have uttered the phrase "I almost drove off the road" due to a bit on Opie & Anthony or Ron & Fez, it's never actually been true except that night. I literally pulled over because I had tears in my eyes and could barely see. I don't know if Ronnie helps Fez write 'em, but whoever does the writing of that bit is so clever they should win an award. If you have any knowledge of wrestling and world events, you can't help but love it!
I have turned so many people on to the show by the few times I was able tape one of the Nature Boy bits and play them for someone. The World Series one (as a Yankee fan) was perhaps the best ever. Even the Hillary Clinton one (usually I turn the channel at the mention of her name, radio or TV) was great.
I only wish there was a place to get copies of the bits I've missed, and better copies of the ones I have. I have maybe 4 or 5 on cassette, but when I try to give someone a copy, they look at me like I have a penis growing out of my forehead because no one has cassette players in their car anymore. I wish Ron & Fez bits, in general, were as easy to trade (via napster, Morpheus, WinMX, etc.) as O&A bits. Then I could send CD's to friends in non-syndication markets like I've been doing with O&A stuff for the past two or three years.
This is not a complaint BY ANY MEANS. I just wanted to share my frustration (and enjoyment of the show), and in doing so, maybe let the situation fix itself if the right people read this.
If there are any fan sites I don't know about with copies of these bits, please feel free to let me know.
Seeeyuh!
