I went back home over the weekend and at one point I saw the neighbor's kid get on his bike and just ride up the street, turn the corner and out into the neighborhood with not a care in the world.
Going to explore on the bike.
Not exercising or anything serious. Just seeing what is out there.
I was a little jealous.

i sold my bike the day I got my license. it was nasty too. We used to go into this drainage area and pull tailwhips onto the lawn. Man did the maintenance crews fuckin hate us
Ever since I heard bicycle seats lead to male impotence I've avoided those two-wheeled castrating machines.
The day I got my driver's license I stopped riding a bike forever.

I want a bike again, I always had one and we would go on tours on the weekend.
I hadn't been on a bike in 10 years (since I first came to the US really) and was so excited to go on a bike tour on my recent trip to Germany... I overdid it a bit by starting off with a 45km tour, but man it was so beautiful and relaxing to just pedal through the country and woods.

Right there in Easton are some great bike trails, they (the state) converted some old railway tracks to bike trails. Last summer we went along the river from Easton out to Allentown. It keeps going way up north somewhere but my friend had to turn around at about the 12 mile mark as he has a pretty terrible Wal Mart brand bike. You should check them out if you really want to ride.

Here's the route we took last summer, the trail actually starts near 25th street in Eason, there is a park down there someplace, but it seems like I started the map near 33:

It keeps going North but I don't know where as we never made it. This year we want to start where we left off last time and keep going. It's a peaceful trail along the river. Looking forward to find out what it's like past Allentown.

this thread inspired me this morning;
I dug out my bike from the garage, cleaned it up, put air in the tires and I just got back from a ride down to the bay. Bike still needs some work (Gvac was right about the seat), but it felt great riding it again, that wind in the face kicks ass.
gonna try and go for rides a few nights a week when I get from work.

Years ago I decided to ride at least 3 mornings a week before work. I got my ride up to 10 miles and I had two routes one of them would go along the beach. My longest single ride after several months was 65 miles and it took me all day. I took off a bunch of weight and had lots of energy. After a motorcycle mishap that tied me up for a couple months I never got back to it, I miss it.
Gvac was right about the seat
Of course I was.
Over half of our penises are INSIDE our bodies, beneath our perennium. That's the area between the testicles and the anus, commonly called the "taint."
Traditional bicycle seats put all of your weight on it so you're actually sitting on your penis while pumping your legs up and down, crushing it and the nerves in the process.
Doctors recommend a seat without a "horn" like the ones HERE. (http://www.thebicycleseat.com/seat_gallery.htm#ultimate)

my question is, why don't you get a bike with one these, since the seat was your excuse not to ride one?

please, don't tell him where you intend to ride a bike alone, especially if the word "canal" is prominently featured.
