I'd say just a slight bit more than a normal guy due to some getting over inflated egos and power trips. I say slight, bc it's probably not much more than the normal level. Except for Chris, he doesn't cheat on Gvac. CTC is a saint.

I don't think cops are any more or less likely to cheat than the average man or woman. I kind of think working with a partner keeps them in line and their off hours are like anyone elses.

from my experience I can say Yes! My stepfather cheated... blatantly in our faces (brought the woman and her hubby into our house as friends while screwing her on the side) and I know of at least 3 more of his coworkers wrapped up in similar stories and their failed marriages.
Of course this is in Germany, maybe American cops are better people

Exactly.
And I know lifelong cops who never cheated and have happy family lives.
Plus the poll question is flawed. "Are cops cheaters", is not a yes or no question. Someone cheats not because of their profession, but for other reasons.

Yeah, just cause some sluts trow the pussy at em.
Most of the cops I knew were more drinkers than cheaters.

I actually can't confirm that one, most I knew were light weights when it came to drinking, and especially my stepfather would invite people over and love to party... but he would make everybody drunk while pretending to drink with them while staying sober.

Same here. Most of the cops I have known were alcoholics. I think the shit they see day to day makes that understandable.

Man, you must of been the best bottom in prison.
I grew up around cops and will say the most prominent problem was alcohol. I grew up and later entered the military, cheating and alcohol was a problem.
The health care field; alcohol.

It depends where you live. When I lived in South Philly the cops there were really respected because they really did risk their lives on a daily basis. They were also pretty cool with us, not that we were problems, but minor shit like underage drinking and such. They werent hard asses.
Out in South Jersey the cops of these little townships are totally different. They walk around with alot of high and mighty attitude for guys who most of the time their biggest concern is "who toilet papered this guys house". I knew alot of these cops from when they were younger and it reminded me of a response I once gave to a guy who asked me why I never decided to be a cop. I said "I did. But they wouldnt let me because I never got beat up in high school."

I can't say I have ever had any trouble with cops, they are just trying to make a buck like everyone else. That's not to say that there aren't dick cops out there, but I have never tried to play up to their social stigma to actually find one. They have the power, if you get harassed for something you are innocent of, speak up with some passion and it will show (been pulled over 10x in the past few years without a ticket or even a warning (and some of the times were complete bullshit)).
Now Judges on the other hand, they can be dicks.. Lost my license for 3 months, should've had a lawyer (I guess it worked though, I don't speed anymore. It was like I caught two fingers across the bridge of my nose).

i know a girl, shes dating a guy
but this cop stops by her work everyday and says he wants her but also understands that she has a guy
she says hes caring and compassionate
he says he wants her to break up with her 2 year relationship and go out with him
to me he sounds like a guy flirting on the job
plus a dude who goes for a girl with a guy usually isnt looking for a longtime thing... (if you date a girl who you know will cheat, is that looking for a longtime thing?)

I went through this with an ex. She had ran into him and told me he was an old family friend. Im not the jealous type so I really didnt care. Then she told me she kept running into him at this place and that place and I told her that he was trying to move in on her. She told me I was crazy. A week later she called me to tell me I was right and he tried to get her to break up with me for him.
After that she basically started ignoring him and he started to go stalker on her. Fucking with her car to try to get her to go outside and shit like that.
Its a pretty fucked up situation to be in because when I finally found him and confronted him it was pretty nuts. Him basically telling me that he could do whatever he wanted and I couldnt do anything because if I touched him he'd just arrest me. It ended when I got him on video saying this and basically told him that his protection was gone and if he came near her again he wasnt just gonna get his jaw broke but probably lose his job when I brought the tape to court.

I had never heard this before.
But one of my best friends is a cop. He left his wife for his partner and married her. They just had a kid. In his case I think it was spending all that time with his partner that did it.

it come from this cop saying how hes such a giving and caring, compassionate person. 'thats why i knew i always wanted to be a cop' he said
and sure, the life of a nassau county cop is pretty selfless and dangerous
but it made me wonder if cops use this 'im a hero' thing to get chicks

I dont know why everyones jumping on him for asking the question. He was curious about it. Does he need more of a reason then that?
Cops have a notorious reputation for cheating. Its not something hes made up, I personally know ALOT of people that feel the same way.

although, if this cop was willing to go for a girl with a dude, then i think that shows that he doesnt really respect relationships, and would probably be prone to ignoring his own relationship if he was in one and therefore... be a cheater

So...if she was thinking about dating a black guy,
it would be okay to say all blacks cheat?
Seriously, he's just a guy trying to get laid.
If she goes through with it, SHE'S the cheater.
No one's jumping all over him for asking a question...

Not as often as you'd think.
For some reason, they go all gaga over the firefighters.
I think the reason, and I've had 18 years to mull it over, is that firefighters,
as far as the average person knows, do only good things (fight fires, rescue kittens, save lives) whereas cops, who also do good things, must also do some pretty bad, ugly things, including arresting people the average person may know... so alotta people are afraid of, or just generally mad at, cops.
I've never dated a cop groupie, as they scare me. I'm attracted to bad girls, who generally don't trust cops....needless to say, I've led a sad, lonely life.

Oof. I'm sure the ones you post will be better than mine.
But I know when I came on this job, I had not one racist or misogynist bone in my body.
That's changed. That's obviously a bad thing.
But as for good stuff... I always think back to September of 2001. The volunteers from all over America and Canada, and probably even other places. Just giving their time freely to make us as comfortable as possible. They renewed my belief in humanity.
Not sure if that's what you were looking for, but those are the first 2 thoughts to pop into my head when asked to reflect.

Yea, I had a friend head to NYC after 9/11 and he said the same thing about renewed faith in humanity.
Another guy, retired now became very racist from working in bad parts of town. And Jerry is a neat guy otherwise.
A long time friend turned alcoholic, did something real stupid costing the city a lot of money, forced to retire, recovered, and became just a wonderful person and humanitarian.
Things like that. I have several more from growing up with cops, but I'll save those for another time.

Before the military I was a bit racist, but still had friends of many backgrounds. I learned early on (in the Army) though the lesson of respect and tolerance. Now, the only people I really dislike are illegals. Other than that I jest.
