Just picked one of these up today at Best Buy for $20. Just the attachment, nothing else. I mean it comes with some plastic case for the controller that I'm not sure I want to use yet, but I will try it.

It's supposed to make the Wii remote more responsive to your actual movements. I do have to say that after a few games of Mario Sluggers, the remote does seem to respond a little better. It also tracks on the screen a lot better while navigating around the main Wii screens.

I guess it's not the MUST HAVE accessory of the year but it was only $20 so I tired it out and it seems to help the remote respond better. I guess I need to get some newer games that will take advantage of this add on better. But I do feel there was an improvement right off the bat.

Anyone else got this for their Wii yet?

No I haven't, but I will buy. My son is good at golf but his putting blows. I've watched him and his motion should be picked up, but isn't. Maybe this will cure it.

Easy install?

It just clicks in where the nunchuck remote clicks in, simple as pie. Then the nunchuck piggy backs into that thing. No separate batteries, couldn't be simpler.

I put the plastic jacket on my remote now, maybe I'll hurl a few video game balls with hit on.

Eh, maybe tomorrow.

Cool. I thought there might be some calibration or wifi needed.

I just went back in the box and looked at the directions to make sure I didn't miss anything. It's just a click in, nothing further.

Only thing I DID notice is that is says you can use the Wii Motion Plus "even with games that don't offer the Motion Plus option."

So I'm guessing that means you won't get the ultra response out of older games. That might mean the extra response I felt right away was just in my head but I swear the cursor wasn't shaking as much and Mario Sluggers felt more responsive. Eh, could just be me. I guess now I'll wait for a game with Motion Plus in it to see what it's like.

I read that Virtua Tennis (released May 19), Tiger Woods PGA Tour 10, and Grand Slam Tennis (both released June 16) are the only games so far to incorporate the Wii Motion Plus.

The worse thing about the Wii is the controller. I don't want to have to work out while I play video games. I guess I should buy the classic controller.

The actual motion is what makes it different and in some cases, much more fun.

You might get Wii Shoulder for a couple days the 1st time you play a few hours of Wii but it's well worth it. And don't worry, you don't HAVE to get up and jump around like a tard if you don't want to. Seems some of the games give you control options to use other methods. Also, some of the games use very little motion to execute what you need to do.

I like the games where the Wii remote makes it unique (Metroid Prime 3, Zelda, etc.) but I hate having to shake it around like a madman or where the game demands impossibly fine movements (Punch Out, Warioland-Shake It, Trauma Center).

I agree with you on Punchout, I play with the remote sideways now.

Shake it is fine but I get your point. I hope every future game offers the use of this Motion Plus thing now, to take full advantage of it.

Right. Hopefully the fine movement games will get more accessible with this thing.

I may get one. The first few days of owning my Wii I got Wii elbow but now I think it kicks ass. I am in the middle of Lego Star Wars and having a ton of fun.

Mario Kart kicks ass and is still the #1 selling Wii game played online. I also have the Wii Fit which I dig.

I want that snowboard game, I can't recall what the name is but it's rated higher than the other snowboard game or the 2 skate games.

there aren't a ton of online games that interest me with Wii. I don't like that I can't chat with my friend while we race each other on Mario Kart. That ticks me off. Also, there is no buddy list were you can race someone again unless you have their code and if I don't know them I obviously won't have their code.

Let's call a spade a spade. It's "step" boxing.

Oh, yeah. It is fun, though.

Is the wii worth the purchase? I'm going soley on the fact I just want it for tiger woods. I have both the 360 and ps3.
But think that a wii would rock for tiger

So this doesn't improve the response time in old games like the boxing in Wii Sports? I'll wait until Sports Resort comes out then.

Tiger is ten times better with the motion plus. And Grand Slam Tennis is a lot of fun. There are some cool features on Tiger and online play is fun for both.
Boom Blox Bash Party is a cool new game for solo or multi player.(no motion plus with that)

Grand Slam is a must own...fantastic game and the motion plus makes the game.

So we played a lot of the Grand Slam Tennis today. If the Wii can keep churning out sports games like this and the new Tiger Woods, the system is in good shape. Grand Slam Tennis is some of the most fun I've had playing a sports game ever, and the online mode rules.

EA seems to have done good job with the Wii. So has Capcom. A few more third parties get their act together and the system is in good shape.

I've been playing Wii Sports Resort today and have been having a lot of fun. Did anyone ele pick it up? I've only played through each of the 12 sports different a bit -- wakeboarding and power cruising seem especially fun. The one my kids are really enjoying right now is fencing. The upgrades in control and features to bowling and golf is nice too. The showdown mode allows you to kind of play as if you were in Kill Bill, knocking out a succession of 50 swordsmen, minus the blood. The problem is that it's one of those games that can wear you out, and I'm sweating my ass off. Even my 3 year old is digging the basic duel game where you try to knock your opponent off of a platform.

Is it compatible with the Wii fit board?

I don't believe so. That might have been a nice addition for things like balancing a landing in wakeboarding.

That is what I was thinking when you said there was a wakeboarding game involved.

So there's not a whole lot of "finesse' required on the first levels of any of the swordplay events. It's still fun.
