The only thing in recent history that has gone on longer than the last presidential campaign is the effort to inform the populace about the switch over from an analog television signal to a digital one.

It seems we spent at least the last three years being constantly bombarded with PSA's, commercials, and endless type scrolling across and invading our television broadcasts; on every show; on every channel; on every network; around the clock, day and night.

Originally this was all supposed to come to an end this last February - but the idiots, hayseeds, and rubes across America who still use antennas and rabbit ears couldn't manage to get it together; so they were given an extension and we were all forced to put up with another four months of this shit.

No longer. As of midnight on June 12th, it's finally come to an end, and I for one couldn't be happier about it. Join the 21st century, man!!

Viva le digital!!!

And it is not over. They are still running stories on the news about how there are still 3 million people without converter boxes.

A guy I work with bought TWO converter boxes several months ago. His wife suggested they get two in case one breaks. I asked him, "Don't you subscribe to Comcast cable?" He replied, "Yeah, why do you ask?".
