Ok this year is going to be a big year for Hollywood...should be a lot better than last year at least. My local newspaper (the journal news) put out a list of movies that are due to be released this year and there are a few that I want to see...
"The Count of Monte Cristo"
"John Q" (Denzel Washington plays a underemployed man who holds a ER hostage to get a heart transplant for his daughter)
"Last Orders"
"The Time Machine"
"The Rookie"
"Run, Ronnie Run" (Has all the people from Mr. Show on it)
"Spider Man"
"Episode II"
and "Windtalkers"
What are some of the movies that some of you plan to see??

Two Towers...Spiderman...Blade 2...um, probably lots of others.
I want to check out the new Brotherhood of the Wolf flick, because I've heard it's a great B-movie flick. That's right, be forewarned, movie-goers - it's a B-MOVIE flick, pretty much. But I dig B-movies, especially gory ones like this, so I'm there.

did anyone see the trailer for jason x. It looks really stupid, it takes place in the future. After that comes out theyll be working on Jason vs. Freddy. Rooster they are working on The Hulk movie with Ang Lee directing. And X-men 2 is supposed to deal with weapon X and wolverines origin. Oh yeah and they picked Ben Affleck to star in the daredevil movie

I forgot adaptation is coming out this year, good call Anna.
They are making a Hulk movie but I believe that's 2003. X-Men 2 is filming starting June of this year and I think that's coming out in 2003 as well. Daredevil is also 2003. One of those might be 2002.
The Matrix sequel is definitely coming out in 2003 though, WB post poned it due to deaths.

anyone see the trailer for clockstoppers? This movie looks awsome. The effects look great. It is about a kid that has this watch that can freeze everything, and he can go around why everything is stopped. It is a cool looking movie. I suggest seeing the trailer, my description doesn't do it justice.

Just saw Orange County expecting another average to shitty movie that makes you laugh here and there.....
Have to say it was really good and well written for its genre'! I have to say its up there with the likes of recent classics such as Road Trip and American Pie. Go see it.

Definitely Blade 2.
Also the Time Machine is a remake of an old movie & that movie about the kid with a watch that freezes time is a take on an old Twilight Zone episode, should be cool though, i guess.

Time Machine was originally a book by HG Welles. Uncultured swine.
And Blade 2 for me too. I saw the teaser and it looks amazingly cool and dark.

Definately Spider Man! It looks as good as the original batman was the first time I saw it. After seeing Kirsten Dunst in a thin shirt jumping up and down in the rain in the trailer- WOW! And Tobey Maguire is the best choice for Spider man. Check out the trailer here.
Oh yeah, and Star Wars Ep II is on my list, but I expect to be disappointed.

I saw the trailer for this movie called Scotland, PA which is like a Macbeth set in the 70s about a couple trying to take over a fast food restaurant starring Maura Tierny and Chris Walken. It looked like it had potential.

Ikea, that sounds like a cool movie. Since it's PA, how many cowbells will be featured?

Well, since Queen of the Damned has none of the actors from Interview With a Vampire, I guess it wont be nearly as great as Interview.
But I do believe that Aaliyah's acting will be good. At the very least, she plays an African woman better than Halle Berry did in X-men.
