I am a Yankee fan so I understand this is a biased statement. Joba and his fist pumps and yelling must annoy lots of people. That being said I can't stand, K-rod and his pointing to the sky and yelling after a save. Its sooooo over the topic and enraging. So who ya got?

I agree with you about K-Rod. That's the problem with AL pitchers and all relievers... there's no way to retaliate against them when they do a little dance after every strikeout. If K-Rod ever got in to batters box I'm sure a lot of teams would love to plant one right between his number.

I love watching pitchers get pumped. You're in this one on one battle, and if you strike out the person, I expect to see some sort of emotion. Just walking away is sad.

There is only one celebration, my friends.
Eat it!

The Brewers shirt untuck after a win is pretty annoying. Especially fat Prince Fielder who appears to be wearing a dress instead of a jersey.

You spend too much time listening to Tony LaRussa cry like a bitch in your local media. The Brewers' "attitude" was never a problem until Milwaukee started whipping his ass on a regular basis.

Ha. Did he actually complain about the Brewers' attitude? What a bitch. I can't stand listening to LaRussa in the local media. He is the number one tell-the-media-what-they-want-to-hear guy in the league. One cliche after another.

Absolutely. In the last couple of years after losses, he would try to shift the story to "disrespect" of the game because of the other team untucking their shirts after the game, rather than him losing. Meanwhile, Pujols can watch his homers for 5 seconds and that's not "disrespectful" at all.
LaRussa is a prick.

The whole Cardinals organization and fan base is full of pussies. I can go to any game I want (vs. the Cubs or not) wearing a Cubs hat and shirt and no one has the balls to call me on it. Imagine going to Wrigley in White Sox or Cardinals gear, you would get destroyed. I saw a guy get so much shit thrown at him at Wrigley that they ejected him for his own safety.

I hate the whole subjective "no celebrating" crap in baseball. I don't care if guys watch a homer or get pumped after an out. Hitting a home run off of a major league pitcher is the hardest thing to do in all of professional sports: fuck yeah you should get to strut.

Agreed! It is extremely hard to hit a round object with a round object squarely. However Sosa and Bonds are both cheaters.

only difference is joba does that in the game in various innings whereas k rod does it after the game is over
plus all he's doing is praising god or pointing to his dead family and theres no way thats more infuriating to opposing players than jobas fist pumps
i hate stale boring players and run of the mill answers etc so i love that joba does his fist pump, loved shockeys enthusiam, barkely and knight for their honesty, etc.

I rescind my response and change it to this ^
However, I did think it was cool as hell that tonight's ESPN announcers clarified what the fans in Boston were chanting when A-Rod came up in the ninth. You would never hear Joe and Jon do that. They would completely ignore it.

Ok. But Bonds had (has?) possibly the best eye of any player who has ever played baseball. His ability to tell whether a pitch was going to be a ball or a strike was crazy. Cheating didn't get him his eye. Cheating just allowed him to hit homers as a lefty in that cavern in SF.

Yeah there is no doubt Bonds had a ton of natural ability. But, with the added strength, what used to be a routine fly ball would now be in the bay.
That's why people like Rick Ankiel who get caught juicing are idiots because they don't have enough natural ability to make the risk worth while.

he transformed a i suck as a pitcher and here comes a 9-5 career into still playing in the majors making millions
he had no worry of hall of fame credentials or public sentiment
how the hell is that not worth it

You are right that he transformed and extended his career by switching from pitcher to outfielder, but he does still have the stigma of being a banned substance user.
This was really just a cheap shot at the Cardinals.

Bonds has one of the best eyes in baseball history without question.
However, not only does steroids help a player hit a ball farther, steroids (or HGH) help a player be in the lineup everyday. Minor injuries that would normally hold a player out of the lineup do not come into question due to steroids.

All you guys are doing is making arguments as to how great steroids are.
I miss them so. More home runs and less time on the DL? Aw, man, that BLOWS. I hope science is working night and day to make the best steroids and PEDs safer so they're made legal and players can use them freely.
I also can't wait for bionic players.

After he hit a homerun last night, Youkilis kissed his 2 fingers and then looked and pointed in the air. I thought the hispanics owned that move; it was strange to see a jew do it.

Let me preface this by saying I absolutely love tennis and the Federer/Nadal rivalry but Nadal can be over the top. His falling on the ground all the time when he wins. It's one thing if you just beat someone in an epic championship match but against a nobody in the second round? Too much.

I don't mind celebrating at all. A cheer, group hug, fist pump, fine good stuff you deserve it. It's the random players who stop and put on a Broadway show that annoy me. Football is notorious for this shit. I've seen some where 3-4 players are choreographing a celebration.

He puts powder in his hand before every game and stands in front of the announcers and throws it up in the air. Jordan used to do it, then Garnett and now Lebron.

Sometimes KG will slap his hands together real hard in front of the C's announcers and gets it on them. That's funny.

Used to hate Jerome Bettis' sideways shuffle.
Ovechkin is usually a massive douche after he scores. Namely earlier this year when he was like "putting out the fire" over his stick or whatever. Probably one of the lamest things I've ever seen.
