Intervention to laugh or not laugh?

Does anyone else think that Intervention is one of the funniest reality shows on TV? People going through an unscripted tragedy, I probably need serious mental help. Anyone?

I don't think it's funny if anything it shows people who haven't dealt or don't know someone in real life that has dealt with a addiction. It's funny to laugh at someone all strung out but it sucks to be that person and it sucks even more to be that persons family.

The intervention O&A were making fun of (sluuuuuuurp 'I'm walking on sunshine") sounds funny and was good for a chuckle. But then ya realize that is someone daughter, wife, sister, etc. Kinda blows, specially if your fam has gone through it.

I did laugh sometimes, but that's cuz I was an asshole BUT I have a big heart.

i can't stop laughing. i don't feel bad one bit. i watched the episode and her mom did shit to help.

That I agree with that , there are many ways to handle a addiction and running to a TV show might not be the best thing for the persons overall recovery. On the other hand maybe these people need to see themselves on TV acting like an ass then they will take the proper steps to get rite. Rehabs are expensive , especially the ones that they send them to on that show plus you can't blame the family all the time some people do not know what to do when they find out they have a family member that is a addict.
