I've decided to see if there's any difference between the various bottled waters you find at the store. Dasani, Poland Spring, Evian, and Fiji. I feel like there's something more in Fiji water, but I suspect that's just because I paid more for it than the other bottled waters.
What say you people who would care about something so unimportant as this?

They say the water is purified, so it should all taste the same. But every time I get Dasani, it tastes like SHIT!!! Maybe it's the bottles.

No tinted bottles. It's Coke without all of the ingredients.
Edit: Now that I think about it, it might actually be slightly tinted. I never really noticed.

All I know is Dasani tastes terrible. I drink a lot of water. Most of it comes through the the filtered thing that's built into my fridge. I drink unfiltered water when I'm work, but my town has pretty decent water. I only drink bottled water when I'm traveling. And when I do, I usually go for the store brand.

Aren't some actually "spring water" and some just "purified" water (like Dasani) ?
I don't know if it makes a difference but I usually go for the spring water types.
I could purify tap water with one of those Brita things if that's all I was interested in.

Isn't there a Penn & Teller Bullshit on this? I think they showed that most brands are tap water.

Dasani tastes so bad, I cannot imagine why its still around. I assume Cokes money keeps it afloat. I used to love Naya water, but its gone. I prefer water Dannon makes called Spring now.
I also think that Poland Spring is not as good as it used to be. It has a slight metallic taste to it. I used to like Fuji water, but its way too much money, but I love the bottle.
I bought a bottle of Volvic water yesterday in Fairway and its chillin in my fridge now.

I cant believe you guys can actually taste the difference in water

I imagine it's still around because people buy it........ at my store people will specifically request it, even though it is the most expensive water we sell aside from the "imported" waters

I never drink water anymore. This is my beverage of choice.

i had this discussion with friends a while back. at some point it dawned on us what a bunch of spoiled f@cks we were for actually having such a stupid conversation.
that said, i drink regular tap water, but on the rare occasion that i have bottled water, i find Evian has a very refreshing and 'wet' mouth-feel, if that makes any sense.

Yes, it makes sense. It what happens when you drink water.
