so, what type of cell plan do you have? ron was basically saying you're a loser unless you have unlimited minutes, but those plans at their cheapest (i just checked verizon, since that's what the comparison on the show was) are about $200 for a family of two, before you even go into any data packages. unless you use an insane number of minutes i think it makes more sense to get a plan that fits your calling needs. given that, i love roll-over from at&t - sometimes you're under and with other plans those are just thrown out.
so, what type of plan do you have?

I share 1500 with my wife, and I use 10 tops

My wife and I get like 700 combined minutes and we don't even come close. We have something like 3,500 rollover minutes.
More important than unlimited minutes is unlimited text messaging and data.

yeah, we have like 1200. other than my wife i almost never call anyone. i really don't like talking on phones in general. it's all about the data package.

i do believe sprint has unlimited minutes/text/internet for 100 monthly.
on a family plan i do believe each line is 100, or either 100 for the first two and 50 each additional....and most companies have comparable plans.
100 a month per phone isn't much for ron i'm sure, but on most things he's out of touch with the rest of the world.
49.99 a month T-Mobile unlimited loyalty. Plus an extra 20 for the unlimited 3g network for my gphone

My verizon plan is nearly a decade old.
They have managed to charge me 10 dollars more a month than when I first got it.
I have 700 anytime minutes and then some other shit. 44.99 a month.
With almost everyone I know on verizon, I don't need unlimited.

I think I got that loyalty thing with T-Mobile, I called to cancel our other plan one day and then they offered me 500 minutes, top 5 favs, unlimited nights and weekend, free mobile to mobile for 50$, two phones.
that's a steal for people who don't talk much like us.

With all the business I do everyday, I not only need unlimited minutes but I also use a service in which I can run any visa or mastercard through my phone. It really helps with the completion of many transactions in inconvenient situations.

I've had them for about 4 years now. The customer service is exceptional and I rarely lose a signal. Plus they seem to be cheaper than most

I barely talk on the phone, and when I do it's probably in free nights or weekends time, so unlimited minutes would be a big waste for me. I do rock unlimited texts.
I do have a 200 test limit which is 200 more than I need

verizon. 3 phones share 1600 daytime, free nights and weekends, free anytime between these three phones and other verizon phones, unlimited text. $110 tax included/monthly
no rollover that know of, but we never go over the 1600.
also, in response to the origional post, ronnie b also says that not having the super-premium cable package makes you less than human and i dont even have basic cable.

verizon- premium - 450 daytime, unlim nights and weekends, unlim text and internet, free calls to verizon customers, free vz navigator.
i *barely* use my daytime mins. i have employee discount so it comes out to $65/mo. (pre-nyc taxes :( )
WAY better than what at&t was raping me for.

I had one for work 'bout 5 years ago . Haven't had 1 since . Although my wife has one (4 months now), I rarely use it .
I don't know her phone number , or even my home phone number . I find that most people that want my number I don't want to call me .
The only calls I get / or make , is my wife calling from her break , or me calling ..."my Guy", but if the cops ask I got it from a negroe.
When Cincy got the remnants of the hurricane last year , and nearly a million customers were out of power , I was pleased as a pig in mud .
I prolly spend an hour on the phone ALL YEAR combined.
With all that said , I still know that anything but unlimited long distance & roaming is a rip off.

4 phones
1400 voice anytime
unlimited text data and pix
10 friends and Family free nights and weekends
So no chance of going over minutes so why pay for unlimited

I have always subscrubed to the lack of agravation model for cell phones. My brothers son ended up with a 400 text message bill one month because he didnt get a plan that made sense. I kept an eye on usage for a while and adjusted text, minutes etc until it worked. Why turn this into a major confrontation for no reason?

I use the FAMILY PLAN.. 1500 minutes per month with ROLL OVER .. so I think I have like 2300 minutes or more this month :)
I'm on call 24/7 365, my company supplies me with a cell and pays the bill....as well as my cable modem for remote assistance.

I don't have an internet plan. I think they charge 2.00 a megabyte or something retarded like that. (For the pay as you go)

Ron tends to be a tad elitist at times.I have ATT unlimited talk text photo share on my phone because I travel alot and I need it for work and my sanity. My wife and kid have unlimited text-photo share and share 2100 minutes per month.I will most likely down grade their plan in a month or so but my kids phone is new and I don't want to pay overages. All ten year olds need a cell phone right?

I'm with Sprint and I have the $99 unlimited everything plan. I've been averaging over 4000min/month, plus text and, data usage so, it just makes sense for me. I like the fact that I can use the GPS feature on my phone and it doesn't cost any more either.
Whatever the company is paying for. I have no idea.
I feel you brother... Nissors Up!
T-Mobile MyFaves plan - $49.99 a month. I get 600 mins, free nights and weekends, and the 5 numbers that I call (or call me) the most are also unlimited and don't count toward your regular minutes.
Add on $15 for unlimited messaging and my bill is $65/mo. After all the bullshit taxes and fees it's about 75 bucks.
I also have a company cell phone that's used for all my business calls so I don't come close to using all my minutes.
