“Kill Bill” star David Carradine was found dead in a Bangkok hotel room Wednesday, his manager told FOX News Thursday.

His manager told FOX News that it is believed the actor died of natural causes.

Carradine, 73, was staying in Bangkok while shooting a movie. The film crew became aware of his absence when they went to dine out at a restaurant yesterday. When a producer went to his room, he discovered that the actor had died.

Carradine was best known for his role in the television series “Kung Fu.”

Damn, I just heard the news! Sorry to see you go Mr. Carradine - you will be missed.

BTW - I think he is supposed to be on next week's episode of Mental. Probably one of his last performances.

Master Po: Close your eyes. What do you hear?
Young Caine: I hear the water, I hear the birds.
Po: Do you hear your own heartbeat?
Caine: No.
Po: Do you hear the grasshopper that is at your feet?
Caine: Old man, how is it that you hear these things?
Po: Young man, how is it that you do not?

Guess he really can't hear his heartbeat now.

RIP Grasshopper!

I still have nightmares of that fat guy doing the shuffle after their sales go up and Carradine just smiles approvingly.

And that was RIGHT AFTER Kill Bill hit.

He was there shooting a movie, not a Law and Order SVU style "Uncle Paul's Emporioum of Questionable Vacations".

If it were just him visiting "on vacation" I would say yes, but he was filming a movie. Especially since he was well known for acting in Martial Arts films - being in Thailand isn't as big a deal.

***Edit - It looks like WWTDD agrees: "Thankfully he was in Bangkok to film a movie, because that’s the only good reason a white guy would travel alone to Bangkok." (http://www.wwtdd.com/)

Wait a minute: this is what it says:

BANGKOK – Actor David Carradine, star of the 1970s TV series "Kung Fu" who also had a wide-ranging career in the movies, has been found dead in the Thai capital, Bangkok. A news report said he was found hanged in his hotel room and was believed to have committed suicide.

It said a preliminary police investigation found that he had hanged himself with a cord used with the room's curtains. It cited police as saying he had been dead at least 12 hours and there was no sign that he had been assaulted.
A police officer at Bangkok's Lumpini precinct station would not confirm the identity of the dead man to The Associated Press, but said the luxury Swissotel Nai Lert Park hotel had reported that a male guest killed himself there.

So, he HUNG HIMSELF...

BANGKOK - Actor David Carradine (http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/contributor/1800017353), a born seeker and cult idol who broke through as the willing student called "grasshopper" in the 1970s TV series "Kung Fu" and decades later as leader of an assassin squad in "Kill Bill (http://movies.yahoo.com/movie/1808404742/info/)," was found dead Thursday in Thailand. Police said he appeared to have hanged himself.

The officer responsible for investigating the death, Teerapop Luanseng, said the 72-year-old actor was staying at a suite at the luxury Swissotel Nai Lert Park Hotel.

"I can confirm that we found his body, naked, hanging in the closet," Teerapop said. He said police suspected suicide.

Carradine's wife and manager are disputing allegations that his death was either a suicide or an accident, saying there are signs of foul play.

"I do not know if you want to call it accidental," Chuck Binder, Carradine's manager, told CNN's Larry King on Thursday. He said Carradine's career was on a roll.

Binder said a producer of the movie, "Stretch," which Carradine was to act in, called him from Thailand to tell him what was happening there.

"I do not want to get in the middle of this whole investigation, but this guy said to me for sure there was foul play," Binder said.

Actor Michael Madsen told King that the one thing Carradine's wife, Annie Bierman, wanted everyone to know is, "David was not suicidal."

Ah well, if "this guy" says so, it must be true. And Michael Madsen is indeed a certified therapist. A lot of people don't know that.

I mean, I know how hard it must be to accept someone you love died jacking it, but you gotta do a little better than this.

A couple of years ago Carradine put out an album.

There's a song called "I Love You Now" on it and I've played it over and over again since I bought it.

Call me crazy, but I love it.

Check it out on his MySpace page. (http://www.myspace.com/officialdavidcarradine)

Auto~erotic asphyxiation being a form of masturbation, choking the chicken as it were...
wouldn't THAT indicate signs of fowl play???
