I'm not a big gamer, but I have to admit this looks cool.

I was thinking the same thing.
I've never played any of the Rock Band games, but this has piqued my interest.

The advent of this game is basically going to destroy the fall semester for me.

Oh my God, this is real?!?
Between this and the albums finally being remastered, this is going to be awesome.
I agree with Ron: learn to play a real guitar instead.

I play a mean guitar (25 years).
Now, I want to go retarded with a video game.
Does this bother you?
Oh, and Ron does not play EITHER.
Let's wrestle!!

I just love the progression through the years and all the famous locations they were known for being shown in that trailer.
I was on the fence about this one, but I think it's an instant buy for me now.

Mtv dropped a fuckton of bread
for the license, I have no doubts that they will threw everything they could at this to make sure they knock it out of the park. From everything I read it sounds like Apple Corps is knuckle-deep, I believe they have a lot of input and influence on development. Pretty damn big price tag might scare the non-gamers off. Couple bills is a lot to drop if yer not really into games.

it looks cool but i don't want to have to play all their shitty early stuff to get into the good stuff. Can I skip the "she loves you yeah yeah yeah" "I wanna hold your hand" era?

You're right, fuck Call of Duty, I'm enlisting.
Anyway I think it looks great, can't wait to pick it up.

looks cool, but i'm not a video game guy
i find it funny that a game based on the beatles has a teen rating for 'mild lyrics' and 'tobacco reference' -- seems a bit harsh
what's questionable about these songs ...?
"Back in the U.S.S.R."
"Day Tripper"
"Get Back"
"Here Comes the Sun"
"I Am the Walrus"
"I Feel Fine"
"I Saw Her Standing There"
"I Want to Hold Your Hand"
"Octopus's Garden"
"Taxman"

I'm in with you on this brother, although I dont consider their early works "shitty." I want to get to the white album stuff, especially "Happiness is a warm gun". I havent really been into the Guitar Hero/Rock Band thing in a couple of years, BUT this is something that I will buy.

I agree with you, even though it appears the other teeny-boppers in this thread don't.

yeah, i'll admit "shitty" was an exaggerated term, but i just don't want to deal with too many songs pre-Rubber Soul

That animated trailer is fantastic. Looks like designs by Jamie "Gorillaz/TankGirl" Hewlett.
And I stand by my last comment.

i have a question
does buying this game help make Michael Jackson get richer?
This game won't end with what's included on the disc. There will be downloadable songs too, including all of Abbey Road.

At this point, probably not as much as you think. He originally purchased the catalog through a loan from Sony. When he first had some financial difficulties in the early 90's, he sold half (I think) of his rights to Sony, and a similar action occurred within the last couple of years. Nobody knows just how much of his stake he's given up, though.

Anyone who owned the Beatles catalog and went bankrupt is dumber than MC Hammer and Mike Tyson combined.
...Always go with the 'combined' jokes, always a winner...
