View Full Version : Strategy Board Game in the Movie: "After Sunset"

Pierce Bronson and Selma Hayek play a strategy board game on a checkerboard. It looks similar to Othello; they are using black and white gemstones/pebbles as playing pieces. I'm pretty sure it's not Othello.
Does anyone know what the actual game is called.

you're right it isn't othello, i thought it was at first until i saw my friends family playing it last summer. it's called pangrym (sp) it's pretty fun.

I googled "pangrym" and it didn't match up. Need an actual spelling or the actual name

Looks like it might be "Go." The way it was played in the movie made it seem like the players' objective was to control the most terrority on the board.

maybe they were just playing checkers with backgammon pieces
