I'm not a huge Will Ferrell fan but Man Vs. Wild is a great show. Should be interesting.

I am a Survivorman guy. Bear gets on my nerves with his unnecessary stunts and artificially set-up situations. I once saw him find a warm but dead animal in the middle of some blizzard. It was obvious that some director had an animal killed and put in Bear's path for him to find. Sickening. It is a show for frat boys.

I caught about 20 commercials for that episode while watching the Deadliest Warrior marathon yesterday afternoon.

Will Ferrell tends to annoy me, but I might enjoy watching him suffer.

This is the weirdest duo ever. I can't fathom who thought this was a good idea

It's just one HELL OF A weird lumping that I don't understand his motivation for saying it. In fact, I doubt frat boys watch much Discovery at all to be honest.

I'll admit, I have only seen a handful of Man Vs. Wild, but almost every conversation I have with people who like it begins with, "Dude, he took a bite out of a live fish!" I even once saw him eat a chunch of a snake, and then he cooked and ate the rest of it. There was NO reason to take that bite except for shock value.
Survivorman can move at a numbingly slow pace (especially the hour-long version) and he fails a lot. That guy can't fish to save his balls, but in a survival situation, that's how it likely would be; a lot of failure, lonliness, and points of time where nothing really exciting happens.
And Bear has been caught in at least a few lies (not actually staying outside all night, his background in special forces). To me, the really impressive people on that show are the cameramen who not only have to keep up with Bear but also have to film it.

I watched it, was expecting more humor.

It was pretty funny. Probably the most he could do with that situation.

i really liked it. i thought will was funny, but not overkill at every chance funny.

i enjoy watching mVw, even if some of it is set up. it even says in the opening some scenarios are set up for opportunity to show examples of survival.

I thought it was pretty good. Bear did a good job of tolerating a regular Joe in a survival situation, and Will did pretty well for being a fatty from Hollywood.

About the lack of humor complaint, what exactly were you expecting? They are on a damn mountain in winter. You were looking for more sketch comedy? More cowbell?

So, quit hanging out with frat boys.

damn i missed it, i hope they show it again, im guessing they will cause they always play them.

as a frat boy myself, i love man vs wild for its cmera work. the visuals/shots are always beautiful and better than sm. but i guess thats the ol college boy in me, looking at the beauty rather than the inner survival meat.
