Green Lantern and Wood

Whats the deal with the
green lantern and wood?
i know that things have
changed now, with the
destruction of Oa and the
central battery...so maybe it
no longer applies. but my
friend seems to remember
reading in Kingdom, in GL's
fortress (after he
assimilates the ring into
himself), a giant sign in the
background that reads "No
Wood Allowed" so...
ummm why?

The original golden age green lantern, alan scott's, ring had a weakness to wood,instead of the color yellow.

Yeah, the problem is that whenever a criminal would get scared of Green Lantern, he would pee himself. Thus rendering the rings power useless against the color yellow.

What happened to Guy Gardner? Is he still a Green Lantern?

Last I remember about Guy Gardner was he got sinestros ring, and lost it. Then he found out he was part alien and had all these new powers. I dont know what happened since then.

i think its pretty cool how they made Hal Jordan the new spectre
