I was wondering if and what people run that is laptop specific.

stuff like power saving software or things for wifi and what not.

TIA.

Power saving stuff. Windows built in power management is pretty damn good. Some manufactures have their own power management software that basically mimics the same thing as Windows does. Only difference is some manufactures will have the ability to throttle the CPU down to reduce power usage at idle times. ie: Your 2.6ghz cpu may be running at 1.3 instead.

Wifi, again, Windows built in stuff works great.

There really isn't "laptop" specific apps at all. Even a budget laptop, hell even a netbook have enough space and power to run most any application that would run on a desktop.

Yea I don't really run anything special on a laptop or netbook either. My HP Laptop and Acer Netbook came with built in power saving programs that I use. Other than that, they're slim computers so I treat them like computers. I load music, videos and programs. Hell, I have Photoshop on my netbook.

But I'd be more than happy to hear other people's suggestions if I'm missing out on some good laptop apps.

I can't think of anything specific on my laptop. It does well performance wise, it runs Vista which I wish I could dump.

I had checked their site looking for mainboard (wifi, sound, etc) drivers and there were none. This laptop is only 6 or so months old and since I am working with Windows 7 I plan to upgrade when it comes out.
