Video File Help

I have a video I took with my digital camera.
It's a .mov file, but the problem is I held the camera vertically, so the video is now sideways. I have not been able to figure out how to view and post the video vertically.
It's just one file, so I'm not looking for some big, expensive software package.

Anyone have any suggestions on a quick and easy solution?

It was a new camera. I didn't know it was going to be a problem, since I really hadn't done it before.
