i'm in the market for a PC laptop.
well, i should correct that as saying that my father is looking for a laptop and i'm helping.
I ofcourse suggested a macbook but he's used my imac and didn't feel comfortable with it.
So i turn to the rf.net community, what would be a decent laptop for an older gentleman who'll just use it for surfing the net and email?
I'd like to keep it under $1000

Lenovos rule. And I love my Dell, also. So there's two.

If he's just surfing the net and using email, how about a netbook?

Clearly I am going to say Mac.

But, I actually think the new Toshibas are really nice and you can get a great one for around $ 700.

^^^^^^^^id go that route^^^^^^^^^

it seems that you would like to look for a larger screen with minimal internals.

1000 for what you need it for will be greatly over budgeted.

Now will he need a lot of Hard drive space at all.
