This of course is not the EXACT Apple IIe I have but it's the exact same model.
My grandmother has had this thing sitting in the corner of a room under a cover for probably 18 years or so now. She wants to be rid of it but I just can't throw away something that still works.
Plugged it in, everything still works. I was playing Transylvania and Oregon Trail on it briefly to make sure it was working. Even the printer with it still turns on.
Anyone have any ideas what I can do with it? (bisides "Stick it up your ass" and "sell it.") I looked them up on Ebay and "mint condition" ones were going for like $100 bucks. I don't feel it's really worth selling it on Ebay, then they take out their percentage, then I have to wrap and ship it and take that liability. If I put it on for Local Pick Up no one will bite. Craigslist is an idea I guess.

I'd keep it. Store it for a few more years then try selling it if you wish. Damn, that thing brings back memories.

Just let go. It is pretty much useless for todays applications. Don't let nostalgia get in the way. I recently purged my basement of old laptops, boards, printers, etc.

Wrap it up and give it to your niece for graduation. Tell her it's the latest thing in pc technology.

Use it to store your logic bomb worm on it like Hugh Jackman on Swordfish - you never know when Halley Berry and John Travolta might come around to rough you up.

You could do something like this (http://gizmodo.com/379708/ben-heck-mods-apple-iigs-into-a-bright-shiny-laptop), but I really don't se the point.

My pop decided to hook an old apple IIe up to the internet just for the hell of it. After that he threw it in a dumpster. So there's that option. I woulda taken it off his hands just so i could play karateka and law of the west again.

The next time there's a rumor that O&A are getting fired, you should use it to smash your XM radio.

I have that program in a box with 2 Carmen Sandiego games, Transylvania and Oregon Trail. The rest of it seems to be very uninteresting documents made with Apple Works.
