Stillwater was a real band...
Couldn't find a "real" video, but they were around in the 70's,
and this was their "big hit"...

I said in my original post that I didnt include Spinal Tap on purpose. They've released an album and played actual shows...I know they're still technically fictional but they are more "real" than the other groups. Leaving off Wyld Stalyns and The Lone Rangers is unforgivable though.
