I miss being able to speak your mind. I found an old yearbook in my high school library (this happened in the mid '90s and the yearbook was from the mid '70s) and my best friends dad-who was a senior that year- was asked what he hated and he responded "Monday mornings, hangovers, and fags." They printed this in the yearbook. If this happened now, he would be expelled or at least referred to a professional.

I think you missed my point. I am not saying that it would be nice to say these things because I want to--obviously this guy perfonifies the typical redneck central PA environment I grew up in--but my point is that we would just let people say what they want to say and either agree, disagree, or ignore--now it seems that we have to fix everybody who paints outside the lines.
