gawd i never thought i'd say that
but i just watched the clip
of the norwegian kid who won
the Eurovision talent competition
(with a record number of points)
the song is awful
he is awful
the set and choreography
would be about 1955 in the USA
we should annex england only
and then submerge the rest of europe
it is just not worth having around

why would you even begin to compare the Eurovision competition to AI?
Norway is approximately 15 years behind the United States when it comes to entertainment.
They're just discovering grunge over there.

Miami Wice, number von show!
True story - I was in Norway in 1999, and a young kid was cruising up and down the strip in his convertible BLARING the theme from "Ghostbusters."
In 1999.
Trying to look cool and pick up chicks.
In a convertible.
Blaring the theme song from Ghostbusters.
In 1999.

why would you even begin to compare the Eurovision competition to AI?
More importantly, why would anyone watch a televised karaoke comp wherever in the world it may be aired?

Eurovision peaked in 1974 when ABBA won with the spectacular anthem "Waterloo", it's been a huge pile of shit ever since.
Like I said...they're 15 years behind.
Are you claiming that bustin' doesn't make you feel good?
Goddamned commie!

How is that different than the mulletheads blasting Loverboy, Poison, or Cinderella in 2009? Unfortunately, I see that everyday.
Bad taste can be found anywhere.

Yes they do, and it's not even the ironic mullet. It's the full on, totally serious mullet.

I see at least 1 mullet every time I go to Walmart, but then again, I hadn't seen one in years before I left the east coast last year.

Huey Lewis LOVES it! (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MMSFX1Vb3xQ)
I had the pleasure of meeting the man himself on a couple of occasions in my childhood as he lived near my grandparents in Montana. Hell of a nice guy.
I remember watching Short Cuts a while back. I really like Raymond Carver and I believe it was Robert Altman who directed the film of some of his short stories. Huey played the role of a hunter in one of the stories (the name currently escapes me). Anyway, there was this bizarre full frontal scene out of nowhere with him taking a leak into the lake that always stuck with me; for obvious reasons....

Tub's gonna grow his out for that.
Edit: I did a google search on this tour and didn't come up with much, but I'm curious as to when Bret Michaels and Fergie started looking alike.

Is Sebastian still with Skid Row? That's the only thing I can think of (him not being the singer anymore) that White Lion and some dude with a Tie's band being featured above them.
And Christ, Enuff Z'nuff is still around?

From what I hear, Huey is questioning it. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cg1AdAEDF9c&feature=related)
