Alright, I admit it...I love this network.

I'm currently watching Baltimore vs Chicago circa 1983.

Manager of the White Sox of the time is Tony Larussa.

The great Rick Dempsey is behind the plate for the Orioles.

Post what you're watching and enjoying c/o MLB here.

I don't like the guy who hosts all the recap shows doing the play by play during highlights. His voice is awful.

Greg Amsinger?

YEEEES!

Trenni Kusnierek is cute.

Yeah, Amsinger is the worst. Don't like Hazel Mae, Sean Casey, or Mitch Williams much either.

But besides them, the highlight shows on MLB Network are so much better than Baseball Tonight. I love that they'll just play the tape from the game with the local announcers on it and show all of the important points of the game....no 30 second clips with annoying catchphrases over it.

Yeah, NHL Network does that too. It's much better.

There has to be at least one other Giants Fan on this board watching the Cards and the Giants now.

Zito hasn't blown the game yet. This could be a (SF) career first for him.

I was reading last night what a weirdo Zito is. I guess he buys his own autographs off of ebay because they are authenticated.

Zito is known for his idiosyncrasies, and his dim, offbeat personality. He has earned the nicknames "Planet Zito" and "Captain Quirk".[25] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barry_Zito#cite_note-nicknames-24) He once made it a practice to buy his own autographed baseball cards on eBay (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/EBay); when asked why he bought them at auction for high prices rather than acquiring unsigned cards and signing them himself, Zito replied, "Because they're authenticated."[citation needed (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Citation_needed)] Despite batting and throwing left-handed, Zito signs autographs for fans at the ballpark right-handed.
At his introductory press conference with the Giants, Zito said he liked the way his uniform number 75 looked, because the 7 and the 5 are like a "shelf" to hold the name "Zito" up. He carries pink satin pillows on the road, collects stuffed animals (such as a good luck teddy bear, with which he used to travel), and burns incense to relax.[26] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barry_Zito#cite_note-10_burning_questions-25) Early in his career, Zito dyed his hair blue. He plays guitar, surfs, practices yoga (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yoga), and follows Zen (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zen). He has done yoga (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yoga) poses in the outfield, and meditates (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Meditate) before games.[27] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barry_Zito#cite_note-yoga-26) In 2001 (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/2001_Major_League_Baseball_season), Zito espoused a universal life force that he credited with his midseason turnaround.[26] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barry_Zito#cite_note-10_burning_questions-25) His mother Roberta named him after her brother Barry, a beatnik “freethinker” and acolyte of Zen who mysteriously vanished in 1964 at the age of 22 near Big Sur (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Big_Sur,_California), California (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California).[28] (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barry_Zito#cite_note-Horowitz-27)

I'm betting on the guilt of stealing 100 mill from the Giants Organization.

Does anyone know the title of the song used in the commercial showing Lieter, Casey, Reynolds, Williams and Plesac as players? I think the chorus is "I'm yours again" or " I'm young again".

If I was a baseball player I'd buy all my shit off ebay too.

If no one has it, it makes it more valuable.

I'd be the only player to ever break my bat in half and try to stab an umpire with it.
