My good buddy named his first son "Lucien Townes" in honor of him...

Steve Earle went the extra step and named his son "Townes."

You should buy the special edition of the album, as it includes a bonus disc of Steve playing these song acoustically.

most of them are acoustic, played with fingers instead of a pick.
