If I wasn't going out of town this weekend, I would be there. one of the top five great bands, Minuteman, and I am always happy to see Mike Watt. It was fun seeing him be a Stooge before Ron died.

great show as expected - Mike had a band from japan ("Lite") he met while on tour there open for him - first time they've played outside of japan. they were really good. check 'em out:

Watt and Missingmen came on around midnight and rocked the place - played new stuff he's working on + minutemen stuff + solo stuff - ended w/ "Little Johnny Jewel", yelled "Start your own band!" and the show was over - Watt hands out stickers, grabs a garbage bag of tee-shirts, dumps it out on the stage and starts selling them for $10 each.

Young bands starting out should study this guy as a example of how to have a career in music and not lose your soul ....
