I tested this lil defrag program and it kicks Windows' included program's ass by a wide margin in run time and resources used. I would recommend it.
Y'all have any more suggested freeware that is spyware free?

Auslogics Defrag is great. I have been using it on our machines for months and it has worked extremely well. Way faster than Windows Defrag, especially if you are talking about Vista.
Good call Booster!

My pick is for Windows, Mac, and Linux, for that matter:
http://evernote.com/
Great note-taking software. Just jot shit down, clip websites and pics, even make audio and video recordings.
Best part is it syncs across all your computers, and even your phone. There are apps for the iPhone and Android, with Blackberry on the way soon. And it's fully accessible via mobile web, too, if you don't have one.
Now, if you have a free account, you are limited in the amount of data you can sync in a month, but it's a pretty high cap that I haven't neared myself. So grab that shit up.

VLC has been my go to player a long time. Still is to quick check an audio or video file. I still use older version of it.
For streaming url's. This one looks real good so far. I just started useing it last night.
foobar2000

Anyone know of a good cleaning utility for Vista 64 bit? I used CC cleaner on my last machine, but my 64-bit laptop doesn't seem to like it. I have a feeling my registry looks like a pile of pick-up sticks.

Nice find! Helped me out on my home pc Saturday morning.
My chick picked up that goddamned "Antivirus System Pro" fucking virus sometime Friday night:
(EDIT: JUST REALIZED THAT BY POSTING THE PIC BELOW, IT LOOKS LIKE I'M PROMOTING THIS HORSESHIT. DO NOT LOAD OR RUN ANTIVIRUS SYSTEM PRO! IT'S A FUCKING SCAM!!!
Just posting it as a warning to anyone who might run across it, or who might have a machine infected with this program)
http://www.antivirussystempro.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/antivirus-system-pro.jpg
She swears she doesn't remember clicking or accepting anything and "has no idea" how it got on there, and she was panicked when she turned it on Sat morning.
This fucker gets in and boots itself on start-up, and won't let you run anything else other than your browser, which takes you straight to there site and offers you a "program" to get rid of it for like $50.
It's like fucking blackmail to the rubes who will end up buying it just to get rid of the damned thing.
I couldn't get on the web to get any answers, but finally "msconfig"'ed my way into not letting it boot itself on a re-start, and remembered this thread. (Even then I had to very quickly "run" "msconfig" before it started up, because once it does, it won't let you do shit. Not "run" anything, or "Add/Remove programs"... nothing! Just tells you that whatever you're trying to do is "infected", stops the program, and starts telling you where to go to buy their shit).
I'm hoping that Glary found the registry keys, along with the tons of other shit it was able to clean up. I'd used Lavasoft's Adaware in the past, but this Glary Utilities thing was 100 times faster, and found tons of shit that my other programs left behind.
After I was finally able to surf around, I found tons of other "programs" that advertised that they could get rid of this fucker, but just like the originator, they all wanted to sell their software that could get rid of it. Fucking scammers. Even found some posts where suckers even paid their fucking ransom and bought their shit, and still were left with crap running in the background.
Anyway, Thanks! Running it on my office PC now...

Grabbed that shit up.
You've probably all heard of OpenOffice, but things are changing in the OpenOffice world. Sun, long the patron of OpenOffice, was bought out by Oracle several months back, and Larry Ellison don't believe in giving shit away for free. So the people behind the OpenOffice project are in the process of trying to gain their independence, and move away from Oracle. So I give you the LibreOffice Productivity Suite:
http://www.documentfoundation.org/download/
I'm not sure I'd recommend switching over to this if you're using OpenOffice now, but keep an eye on this. I hope that getting out of Oracle's shadow will help keep this project going strong.

It allows you to group desktop icons in batches.
I haven't used it yet but the demo seemed cool.

Just one question...
HOW THE FUCK DO YOU TURN OFF THE HINTS????
There seems to be no option for that in the Mac version. Every time I'm getting ready to make a move, the Goddamn thing starts pointing at a gem. "Hey, move this. This one. Move this one. This one here." SHUT THE FUCK UP!
I've got to switch to decafe.

fences combined with rocketdock removed all of the clutter from my desktoop
another program I recently started using is dropbox. (http://www.dropbox.com/referrals/NTE0MzQxMzk5OQ)
It allows you to share/sync files between computers.
For example you can put files in your dropbox folder on your
home desktop computer and they will be available on your laptop
and even your work computer.
You start off with 2gb of space but you can bump it up to 8gb
by referring friends (http://www.dropbox.com/referrals/NTE0MzQxMzk5OQ)

Anybody have suggestions?

All it does is block traffic from IPs that are on their list.
If you want to change your IP, you need to route through proxies or a VPN.
