You must set the ad_network_ads.txt file to be writable (check file name as well).

View Full Version : No album artwork on iPod?

I got a new version of iTunes and now album artwork isn't loading to my iPod on all the albums. A couple of them still have the album artwork but I would say that 95% don't. I have the option selected to display the album artwork. Anyone know how to remedy this?

I had a similar problem once. The artwork for an album that I had purchased on iTunes ironically enough displayed fine in iTunes but on my iPod it only displayed the top 20% of the artwork and the rest as black. I went through the album in iTunes and deleted the artwork and got a new JPG of it online and added that to the files instead and it worked.

Haven't had that problem yet. But after I got a few wrong album covers from iTunes I stopped getting them automatically from them and just added the cover manually.

I can't stand haing the album artwork load up. I noticed a drop in speed and a tendency to lock up when I had the artwork. Since I shut it off, no problems at all.

It was a new bell and/or whistle I wasn't used to having on my old black and white iPod, so I loaded the artwork. Only problem I've found is slightly longer load times because it's accessing more info now, but it's not a big deal. If I find I'm having the problems Mojo listed I'll shut it off for sure. I already know what the albums look like, it's just a cool option to have in my opinion.

did you add the artwork manually? if so a lot of times it isn't transferred to each individual track but only to that one track.

if i knew what kinda comp you were on i could give further assistance, if you're using a mac there's an apple script that will fix it...just search apple script itunes album artwork

I added the artwork to the entire album. Every album had the artwork with it until I downloaded a new version of iTunes, now only a couple of tracks and albums have the artwork. It's not a big deal, it actually has freed up some space, I'm just wondering why this is happening.
