I know eyebrows aren't a big deal for most heterosexual men, but girls obsess over theirs.
So what's your preferred choice to keep your brows in shape?
What do you use, if any to fill them in?
Do you dye yours?
What's worse: overplucked brows or bushy unibrows?
I thread, no fill ins, no dye.

Bushy ones are better than overplucked ones...Atleast with the bushy ones, you can suggest that she takes care of them. If they're over groomed, then there's nothing that can be done, except wait.

I have random eyebrow hairs that grow longer than the rest of my eyebrow hairs, which I trim for uniformity and I pluck the few stray hairs that grow in between the two brows. That's about it.

i tweeze. i feel like i have better control than through waxing. i'm fortunate enough to have very nicely shaped brows naturally, so it's really just cleaning up a few strays here and there. no filling in.
i'd rather see bushy than overplucked. and i'd rather see anything than no eyebrows with a line drawn in.

I agree.. cept I recently learned if you over tweeze your brows, over time they don't grow back. That's why my aunt has to pencil hers in.. she has no brows left.

I forgot to add trimming as an option for the guys.

That's why I like threading over waxing.. more control, less irritating and more hygienic.

I tweeze mostly but every once in awhile I'll get a shape/wax at a nice salon. My eyebrows grow fast (damn my Croatian blood).
I really hate when girls get their brows super skinny or pencil them. Just not a good look.
Only thing acceptable for guys is a trim with scissors if they get too bushy or if they have a unibrow they can get the middle plucked. Other than that, yuck on guys having super groomed brows.

I don't have the patience to tweeze and don't do salon procedures at home ... so I go to a hair salon to have 'em waxed and trimmed (my brows are coarse, so trimming helps keep them neat without having to wax them super-thin.)
I've considered having them threaded, but never make the appointments before I need to get something done ... and waxing is cheap & convenient.

My eyebrows are dark and really thick, and would be caveman like if I didn't keep up on this stuff. I go to an expensive, top notch wax lady about once every 3 months to get a good shape, then tweeze and/or go to the cheap salon for touchups. I cannot handle threading.
I've been slacking a lot lately though and fucking up the shape by trying to go longer in between visits. I was also "cleaning up" the stray hairs myself with a home wax kit for a while (great for waxing lip), but they discontinued the only kit that worked for me.

If you live in an area with a high Indian population, the places that do threading are relatively common. It was also supposed to be the "next big thing" and has appeared on TV, both schlock like GMA and sitcoms like Ugly Betty, so it might be moving out of the ethnic enclaves into the other 'burbs.
It costs about the same as waxing, sometimes a little more, depending on ths place.

I have had girls do tweezing and threading to me, not that I need it my eyebrows are perfect and uniform, it's just one of the ways to move in on them. They get some kind of pleasure from causing you pain and lower their guard, that's when you make a move and kiss a boob as it hangs over your head, same thing with facial pore cleansing.

Exactly. A good man's haircut involves the trimming of the eyebrows and a check of the ears for hair. If you don't get that service, you aren't getting a real haircut.

Here's my question: how old does a boy have to be before you give those things a trim? My nephew is 12, and he's a total monobrow like my caveman brother. Is it odd to groom him at that age? I was thinking about this the other day looking at my son. He's only 6 months old, but I was wondering to myself "what if he's a monobrow? Do you clean that up when he's 5? 6?"
Please advise.

Tweeze, i would never trust anyone to wax my eyebrows. I also have pretty sensitive skin, combined with not really having an overgrowth of eyebrow hair, so i don't think it's really necessary.
I always see threading being done in the mall, it looks interesting enough to try but i honestly can't see myself routinely going somewhere to get my 'brows done.
Take the end of the comb where the teeth are really close together, put them through your eyebrows, and buzz whatever sticks out.
My barber taught me that years ago.
Works like a charm.

I have mine waxed. I haven't had to do this for a few years now. They are staying nicely shaped since then. I do hate the waxing procedure though. It makes my eyes water so bad that everyone thinks I was crying. One time I had a bad waxing job. I don't know what she did, but around my eyebrows I was red and then had little blue dots all over. It went away after a few weeks.

I don't have kids so you might not want to take my advice, but I'd say once they hit puberty grooming is OK. That's when girls start shaving their legs and armpits so why not pluck/wax a guys brows, especially if he's getting teased. Now bringing it up to him and his parents might be awkward if they don't agree.

I take a pair of tweezers to the middle of my eyebrows every few weeks when I feel it's time. I even went to the other side of both of them and got rid of a few stray hairs that were just there and not part of the shape of my eyebrows. I don't do that very often but I do check them in the mirror most mornings. Why not? They're right there.
Women's eyebrows always seem to be a point of frustration to them. It's weird, every face is different so some girls get away with almost no grooming and it looks natural. Others really need to get them trimmed down and thin.
I'd rather see a chick with a set of eyebrows that might be a little too thick than a chick with eyebrows that are a little too thin though.

I pluck, thankfully I'm not a hairy person so if I have to pluck a few hairs once a month it's a lot. I've tried using eyebrow pencils, but since my eyebrows are blond even the blond colored pencil is too dark and makes me look like a whore. I won't try threading or waxing because I have people near my eyeballs.
My aunt shaves her eyebrows off and then uses a pencil to draw them back on. She looks really freaky when she forgets to draw them on. Seeing someone without any eyebrows is very unsettling.
