I just hope they can bounce back from blowing a 35 point lead in the playoffs. I thought last year was their year. But Moon is a consummate pro and will get his guys focused.

Aslo don't sleep on the Cleveland Browns. I know its a goofy side arm delivery, but Kosar has a cannon and Webster Slaughter is a beast

I needed a QB. My QBs are Matt Schaub and Derek Anderson. I'll gladly roll the dice with Freeman.

who was taken 2-5 in the rookie draft? Schaub is a pretty good option if healthy. Will Freeman even start this year? You still probably need another QB in case Schaub gets hurt and Brady plays in Cleveland.

Schaub is great if healthy, but that's doubtful. Freeman probably won't start at all this year, but this may be a rebuilding year for my team anyway.

When I started in the league, my team was awesome. I had Mike Vick, Pacman Jones, Chris Henry and Sean Taylor. Yeah.

And picks 2 - 5 were :

Knowshon Moreno (DEN-RB)
Michael Crabtree (SF-WR)
Matthew Stafford (Det - QB)
Jeremy Maclin (Phi-WR)

Grabbed Pat White in the 2nd round (whatever, its a risk) and just grabbed Ramses Barden in the 3rd round.

I dropped Roy L Williams for my round 2 draft pick, and he of course gets picked up the same day. One more pick to go and I'm trying to decide to drop Adam Jones or Bobby Carpenter.

The Bills have a very talented young roster both on offense and defense. They also have a top 3 special teams unit. With Awful McAwful(Trent Edwards) as QB, the Bills still went 7-9. They have a very good WR unit that consists of both Terrell Owens and Lee Evans. And the very good RB duo of Marshawn Lynch and Fred Jackson. They are definitely a QB away! Unfortunately for some reason they think Trent Edwards is the guy at QB. So they will be wasting the next few years figuring out that they were wrong. ... The Skins are an even more obvious team to point out as just being "a QB away". Last season with Jason Campbell as the QB, the skins still went 8-8. This season they went out and added arguable the most impactful defensive player in the league in Albert Haynesworth. Atleast the skins know Jason Campbell isn't the guy. They tried to get both Jay Cutler and Jonathan Sanchez this off-season. As for the rest of the NFC East. The Cowboys window has closed. The Giants and Eli will be a much different team without both Plaxico, and Steve Spagnuolo. Plus Antonio Pierce is on the decline. You don't know how Umenyora is going to bounce back from a major injury. And Brandon Jacobs body is 10 more hard hits away from breaking down. The Eagles are the team in the NFC East until the Skins get a QB.

Yea anything can happen. But by "Legitimate SuperBowl Contender" I mean teams you look at before the season, and believe really have a shot at winning it. Sure some team will sneak up on everyone, it happens. The Colts will probably make the playoffs. But they are done as real contenders. Same goes for the Chargers, and a Saints team who were nearly in the SuperBowl themselves a few years back. Think about those teams. They don't excite anyone as being legit.

even with a diff qb the bills arent gonna be better than the patriots, they may be better and make the playoffs but they wouldnt beat brady and the pats

giants will be diff but now they have an entire offseason, training camp, preseason, etc. to figure out how to live w/o plax and not on the fly like last year when it happened and had no back up plan

cowboys window may have closed but they still have talent and will be better than the skins

Wow, so wrong on the bills and redskins. Also both the bears and falcons should be fine and contend plenty, while the Chargers will walk away with the West and the Saints should rebound well. Colts have Manning still so never rule them out....especially in that division, but the boys will be interesting to watch for sure.

Now Brandon Marshall demands a trade. I can't see them giving into it, then they would look worse between this demand and Cutlers.

But between Marshall, Boldin and Edwards (who probably won't go either), they are all unhappy and want to be traded, Houshmandzadeh moved, TO moved, Plax's status up in the air, Chad Johnson and Moss with QB's coming off major injury. WR is a position really in flux, at least from a fantasy perspective.

I guess they have to. But they are really setting a bad prescedent
that anyone on that team who bitches can get their wish and be traded. They lost their 2 best players cuz they whined. McDaniels is in over his head.

In fairness. The Cutler thing ended up with people on Denver's side, Cutler was that big a douche.

And 2, again they arent setting the precedent of anyone asking being traded. I really think partly, Denver doesn't want Marshall. he isnt THAT good that its worth dealing with all the other shit. Plax wasn't even that good

And I'll say, being Marshall's character, he ends up in either Oakland, Dallas, Cinncy, or the moron Jets

Marshall was a bit of a product of Cutler. But he still is a tremendous talent, with not much of a brain.

If they don't want him, they should have traded him before this came out. Now any player on the roster thinks that whining will get what you want. Cutler was a bitch but I saw his side. They still should have told him to fuck himself.

this is where I completely disagree, and I love how people assume this. Because a guy the team pretty much hates, who has been arrested like 6 times in 2 years, so they get rid of him. That doesnt mean they are gonna trade guys. You know how many guys ask for trades that no one hears about.

Regardless of talent, if anything this will probably make the rest of the guys wanna stay. Its about way more than talent at this point

He's a fuck up, but they've had 2 very public fiascos like this in 3 months. Both under a new coach.

There's no chance in the world they wanted to move Cutler before it was made a big deal in the public. Maybe in this case because he's a fuck up and has less value without Cutler.

I think he'd be a nice fit in Dallas. And not just because of the criminal aspect.

I remember when I was younger, something that built my loyalty towards the league was the Draft. On Saturday we'd throw a party and have a great time. It was always a nice spring day that gave everyone hope about their team, but also the summer to come.

Now a Thursday night? Why? A couple of million in TV dollars?

That is short-term thinking at its peak.

is there some rule or agreement between the ncaa and nfl where all collegiate players have to enter the nfl through the draft ??

could they say they're not entering the draft but leaving college and become a free agent ?? or would they have to go play in the cfl, ufl or the afl before it went bye bye

so, stallworth is suspended for 1 year (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4396130). he is also under house arrest for 2, so wouldn't that make the nfl's suspension a moot point? i can't imagine they'd allow him to travel around the country all year and have to check in each night. i know it's been done before, but not for an action that caused someone's death.

So I'm sitting here dozing off when I hear that pack of Commie cocksuckers on ESPN talking about a couple of my coaches getting in a fight. They're talking like it's some kind of big deal. What kind of pussified sport has this become if coaches can't get in a fight? I can't tell you how many times I saw Madden and one of his assistants going after each other with baseball bats and bicycle chains after a game. Shit, I remember once that after a game, Norv Turner was going after one of the position coaches with a fucking chainsaw, and I had to talk him out of it. So what does this pussy Berman (and you know what kind of name "Berman" is -- let's just say the kind of name you hear a lot in banking circles) know about coaching anyway? Fuck him.

By the way, who's this new guy in the booth? The one who replaced that bald fag Kornheiser? (again, another name you'd hear a lot in the entertainment industry, if you know what I'm saying.) I like this guy. He really knows what he's talking about. He should be coaching somewhere.

He's a strong saftey rb, not a free safety. Hence you may want to rethink that logic. Yet if you were to use it, 7 ints compared to 2 screams one fits ur system better than the other. Guess which one it is?

He's a strong saftey rb, not a free safety.

Granted, after so many years of watching the tampa 2 I tend to think of safeties as cover backs, even when they start the snap in the box. That being said Polamalu whifs way too often for my taste.

I love how Favre tosses a tiny little pass to Peterson, who takes it about 18 yards from there, and Billick goes crazy about how this "extended handoff" capability the Vikes have now changes everything.

What quarterback couldn't do that, Brian? Shut the fuck up.

Honestly, if all they're going to have Favre do is "ball control" and hand it off to Peterson (and 18 of those 52 yards he has were basically a hand-off), you can get pretty much anyone to do it for much less than you're paying Favre, and get someone who'll be far less of an attention whore pain in the ass.

What I like about Sanchez is that even after the INT, he didn't dwell on it. He went right back out there and lead the team down the field. Nice pass to Keller which set up the Jones TD.
