I hate Bill Simmons for making me realize this, but if Brees goes to Miami instead of New Orleans, there's no wildcat and we don't have to watch these awful attempts to fool the opposing team.

And Vick would actually be QBing a team somewhere.

And Vick would actually be QBing a team somewhere.

In the UFL.

Lest you forget nobody in the NFL wanted him, and the judge mandated he had to take the highest contract offer as part of his bankruptcy settlement (which was the UFL).

The Eagles actually did him a favor more than anything.

Really? You NEED the Thanksgiving Day games to be compelling? There isn't anything you could be doing with your family on that day that isn't bigger than a Detroit Lions football game?

Really? So those 40/50 year traditions of families traveling to the games isn't good for those economies? You want to kill that tradition so that you have a "better game" on Thanksgiving?

Once again, this comes down to a fundamental question of who the NFL is. If the NFL starts throwing out its few traditions, its nothing more than a cheap commodity and will eventually cycle itself out of being the #1 sport in this country.

I wonder if there are any golf club involved :

Police told the Kentucky Post that Henry fell out of the back of the bed of a truck driven by his fiance. They told the paper that Henry had jumped into the truck as it was driven away by his fiance.

The Charlotte Observer reported that Henry's fiance, who has not yet been named, attempted to drive away from him following a "domestic situation," according to police.

http://www.nytimes.com/reuters/2009/12/17/sports/sports-uk-nfl-henry.html

Henry has died from injuries suffered earlier this week in a fall from a pickup truck, CNN reported on Thursday.

The team said on its website that Henry was on life support following the accident in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Police said Henry "came out" of the back of a pickup truck being driven by his fiancee, the Charlotte Observer reported on Wednesday.

Henry has been on injured reserve with the Bengals since November 9 due to a dislocated forearm.

Drafted in 2005, Henry is no stranger to problems off the field. He was arrested several times before being released by the Bengals in 2007 and then re-signed to a two-year contract with the team before the 2008 season.

Henry has 12 catches for two touchdowns this season.

Truf...that is the biggest regular season game in my opinion and the outcome does not reflect on what may happen in the playoffs. "Slumping" or not you can never look past the Pats. I hope the Chargers all fall out of pickup trucks. Two dangerous teams. To say that the Colts are just lucky is horseshit. Lucky teams don't consistently make plays to win the game in the 4th quarter.

I'd have FiOS now too, except Comcast is playing games with the local sports franchises to keep as many games off Verizon as possible.

Verizon sued for the right to carry Comcast SportsNet and won, so in response, Comcast started airing a lot of games on their TCN channel, which is still exclusive to them.

I just can't understand why nfl.com thinks we would rather hear their analysts than watch the game. I guess I could understand if they showed commercials during the game, at least that way they are making money to cover the cost of showing the game for free, but there is no point in cutting away from live action to analyze previous plays.

exactly, and crosby hasn't made a fg yet today...in fact he missed another

See it's guys like that who are creating all these unrealistic expectations for kickers!

Baltimore looks impressive again this week. Dark horse in the playoffs (if they make it), perhaps?

Longwell is short off the tee, plays indoors and is best inside of 45. Sort of reminds me of this guy:

Is it safe to say the Jets are done?

Maybe.

They still have to play the Steelers. If Pittsburgh wins today, that'll be a great game next week.

balt is up big against chi so if that holds theyd be at 8-6 in the last wc spot
denvers currently losing to oaklnad and a loss would also make them 8-6

the jets along with tenn, miami, jax, houston and possibly the steelers are all 7-7 and still very much alive

jets have indy and cincy though

Baltimore looking good makes the Colts regular season even more impressive. I love Ray Rice. I'm going to pick him with my first pick in fantasy next season, so he can get hurt in week 9.

I can't imagine the Jets beating either of those teams, they scored 7 points against the Falcons at home!!!! I like them for next season though. Sanchez is looking very good for a young QB.

The Colts have wrapped up the #1 seed in the AFC.

It's not impossible to think they'd rest all of their starters after a quarter or two, so the Jets upsetting them would not be a complete shock.

WOW

I never saw anything like this, but the Bengals are BACK!

After the Chargers scored to go up 8, they kicked off and Cincy returned it to normal range. Well the SD crowd is REAL loud and the Bengals imploded!

They first got tagged with a false start, then 12 men on the field, then a delay of game and finally a timeout! They still haven't snapped the fucking ball!

Unreal!
