View Full Version : Hero or partly to blame?

I seek your wisdom on this dilemma. My daughters came to me this afternoon having found this blue jay stuck in the tree, a string wrapped on it's foot and also the tree branch. Though I feared his angry pecker, I risked all and freed the poor creature from it's deathly hold.
Now here's where I maybe a tiny, very tiny bit to blame. The string MAY have been from a piece of packaging I left lying around. Mind you I didn't tell the little bastard to pick it up and haul it off to a tree to be insnared.<a href="http://s490.photobucket.com/albums/rr266/tractorgreendog/?action=view¤t=DSCN0830.jpg" target="_blank"><img src="http://i490.photobucket.com/albums/rr266/tractorgreendog/DSCN0830.jpg" border="0" alt="Photobucket"></a>
So what say you? I'm going with hero.

I think you have to return a cell phone in order to be officially classified as a Hero.

I'm gonna vote bad Father. You missed an opportunity to crush it with a brick and teach your daughter a valuable lesson about stealing a man's string.:devil2:
I am leaning toward hero, but unless you can come up with a better picture (in focus). I am withholding my total support

That bird looks as pissed as a new wave Gvac. Im pro string.
If only Britney had you around she would have been saved a lot of embarassment.

I was going to say hero, but after re-reading your post and seeing the pictures it's obvious you just wanted the string back

These guys are gonna kick your ass if you leave anymore strings around. They also were asking about where you put the feeder.

Hero, especially if you do not tell your daughter it may of been your fault.
You rescued the bird and the string from the evil tree.

I threw them a real softball with that one. I thought it might slip right by if it was that easy.

Helping another living creature is usually the right thing to do. I have a similar problem. Some grackles built a nest in my BBQ grill. I had been cleaning it out but they keep rebuilding and now there are two little blue eggs. Guess I won't be having any grilled salmon for a few weeks. FD, how long do eggs take to hatch and babies fly the coop?

After what those Blue Jays did to Ronnie B and his Pops in '93, a real friend of the show would have choked the li'l fucker out.
